Welcome to the Official 2012 voting thread.

Rules
Voting ends on June 15th 2012.

You may cast one (1) vote for the candidate of your choice. Multiple votes will count as one vote, so don't waste your keyboard strokes

You can't change your vote. Whoever you vote for in your first "ballot post" is who you're voting for.

DO NOT EDIT BALLOT POSTS! Editing a post will disqualify that vote!

Voting for a running mate equals voting for the main candidate on the ticket.

If mods catch you re-regging to vote fraudulently, you'll be penciled in for a date with the rectalfier9000. Yes, it's as terrible as you think it is.

I reserve the right to use my best judgment to determine who you're actually voting for, in instances where someone is joking around (that caused some confusion during the 2008 elections, so this should sort that out). If I abuse that, may the mods banish me to Barbie island.

Your Presidency will end on June 15th, 2013. You can run over and over again. Mods are encouraged to make voting happen even if my stalker, Sandra Bullock, locks me up in a cabin. But being a good President, you should do the voting yourself

Okay, with all of that out of the way, may the voting commence!

The following are the qualifying candidates, though you are welcome to write in your vote as well:

Incumbent: Jerico2day & VP Obese87
Seppuku Arts & VP Candidate Happy Cheesecake
DarkBasicDude79 & VP Candidate TheZachadoodle

I vote for Seppuku Arts!

He is a fine man and can spot a potential truffling pig from a litter of a dozen sows. He can also smear caviar into the creases of his eyes for an entire week.

He has my vote.

Hmm there seems to be an error with the voting system. If this continues we will have to arrest seppuku for fraud, he is obviously cheating. It is a shame that our beautiful democratic process is being tarnished by people voting against the regime. How unpatriotic of you.

Seppuku wins my vote!! I never knew much about him but from what I have heard, he is a great person and deserves a presidency on these forums.

Sorry, Mr President, They must be changing votes for you into votes for Seppuku! This is an outrage! I therefore vote for:

Seppuku Arts

I was gonna abstain from voting coz I think you're all great guys in your own way and that left me torn. But I just saw some posts Sepp made and they were very mature, philosophical and and well-constructed arguments (and coicedentally precisely along my ways of thinking and almost what I would've said, not that I'm influenced by that. See I'm making my voting process transparent).

So, nonZero votes for Seppuku Arts, may he lead us into the new era.

I'll vote for Jerico. I love his avatar almost as much as my own and he was here when all this was just fields. If there is any better reason than this for voting then I haven't heard it. Or read it. I mean "bothered to" obviously.

Cheers

I've always wanted my very own redneck, so sure, why not?

So you missed his, "I want to nuke Cyprus" speech then? Or was that me? It was probably me, in which case, I don't blame you.

Nope. I just love nuclear fallout and the resulting lowering of sunlight will help when it gets a bit hotter. Plus I privately believe not only this forum was created and populated by bots by Rich just for my amusement, but also this extends to this (only this) universe in general. So I'll be fine. And don't read into this by thinking Rich is God. As I also believe he is a very advanced bot I probably wrote with my subconsious.

I am not God though. I accept that now.

Cheers

Sounds like you might have overcome a great journey to finally realise that, was it the realisation that you couldn't do half of the things Morgan Freeman could? But if we're all a result of your programming, aren't you in the least bit worried that it created me?

40 days and 40 nights. Usual fare really.

Quote: "was it the realisation that you couldn't do half of the things Morgan Freeman could?"
Different universe. Anything in movies doesn't really exist and is just warped in from another Universe in the Multiverse.

Quote: "But if we're all a result of your programming, aren't you in the least bit worried that it created me?"
I can only assume my subconsious gave you all free will. Either that or Rich was created imperfect and everything went downhill from there. In time I'm sure I have a cleardown routine that will kick in and remove any anomalies. No worries. Plus I probably wouldn't have a job (not that it's really real or anything) if all my development didn't produce the odd bug to support.

Cheers

My first choice had always been Jerico. But now that the nominating process is over, I’m happy to announce that I’m going to be supporting Gov. Mitt Romney *ehem* I mean Seppuku Arts.

I'm certainly not jumping ship, I resent any accusation of such a thing. I am merely adjusting my alignment to one which no longer coincides with Jerico's campaign.

Ladies, Gentleman and other lifeforms, I would first like to thank you all for voting for me, to be your humble leader, your president, your ruler, your pencil and all of your other stationary. I plan to erase all pencil marks against the sheet of paper that is Apollo. You believed in me and all our dreams will become a reality. There were skeptics, there were people who did not believe we could put Zenincanin on the moon, but with your faith and all your hard work, we made it happen. Now he resides there with a shuttle and a book with instructions on how to operate it. He shall learn to embrace, love and cherish book. Thus we shall see a future where nobody discriminates book. Without your vote that would never have been a possibility, so please, pats yourselves on the back, that is the first pencil mark of many.

Alas, on the horizon I see a danger, a danger who would very much threaten our borders, not some raging Bosnian, not even some German kid screaming at his computer. Nein. We have forged an alliance with Germany and formed the treaty of Hamburg and I am proud to say, "ich bin ein Hamburger". We've got a much bigger thread and to help us deal with it the German government has agreed to defend our borders against the ragers, the fanboys and the haters and together, we can see a bright future and you can all say, "I was there, I helped make it happen."

So thank you, I am humbled by you all.

Congrats guys. Looks like it's gonna be "Sepp-sama" from now onwards since I dunno how to officially address a samurai, pirate, president.

Here's to a new tomorrow ...evening when we all wak up with a hangover from doing what both pirates and Japanese officials do best; drinking!

The torch is passed, and Seppuku has the badge to prove it. Jerico's status has changed to "Community Leader". All former Presidents shall acquire this title in retirement.
