So after a few hours I was on my third character, my previous two characters only having had a shotgun at best. I stumbled across a crashed helicopter and found this next to it. I even found a mag of ammo for it and a couple of grenades by killing the soldier zombies with my hatchet.

But now I'm down to 5000 blood, and I kinda don't want to play because I know I'm going to lose it .

I'll probably play some tomorrow, I'll team up with someone if I can figure out where I am (and you can have the gun if I die ).

Well I found six launcher couldn't update the game properly and it's really really slow, and hard to find the server you want. Pings don't update all the time, etc. Steam integration doesn't work out of the box.

After I installed commander, I could see exactly what version I was running, steam integration works (though I found I end up getting choppy gameplay, so I disabled it), I can update easily right in commander, and it's got a great filter system. Really it's a lot simpler and better tailored to dayz than six.

How do you think I felt when I got killed by two guys in a helicopter? Some guy left a tent FULL of military weapons, ammo, and supplies etc... so I helped myself and I was fully decked out. After 30 seconds of walking I get shot dead by a helicopter. Turns out the tent was theirs.

Well I don't have any issues with six just yet so I'm happy

I am curently playing it for about a week (just an hour or so each day) and I have to day that despite all the flaws its extremly inspiring for a game developer.

I hope the industry realizes now that there is a market for REAL hardcore online games. I've played MMos since the original Everquest came out and THAT was the last game I actually had a character die before DayZ.

In case you find my grammar and spelling weird ---> native German speaker ^^

I managed to find a Bizon PP-19 with 3 mags and I made it to the NW Airfield where I found a G17. I'm on 5.6k blood so I'm gonna probably gonna die soon but I don't want to

Minecraft on hardcore mode, which I like.

DayZ I think offers a better experience than even minecraft though, because it's so much harder to get all the best gear.

Pretty awesome .

Well, the problem resolved itself anyway. When I logged out my character was laying in the grass holding the gun, when I logged back in a day later he was lying in the same grass but not holding any guns. On the plus side, he also had almost 10k blood. I think I'm going to miss playing around with the thermal scope, though.
