Actually IE9 probably isn't the problem. It's my primary browser. On another forum I visit there was an identical thread to this one when I was using FireFox and Chrome, both struggled with it, just the same as IE9. IE9 is actually a decent browser, I never thought I'd say it though.

Nah, IE9 still only supports 61% of the HTML5 specification; That's unacceptable in my books.

so, sep, was there anything you did to overcome the issue on the other site or does it still exist for you? we've had similar threads on this forum where most posts in it were youtube vids. those represented no issue for me in the past.

my first thought was, as does occur occasionally here, someone's av or sig image in the thread was linked to somewhere that wasn't serving the image up promptly/properly as the behavior is similar (time-out/hang up, etc), but i'll get display anomolies in this thread that aren't present when those image issues exist.

attached youtube speedtest. only because i saw it as an option and hadn't seen/taken one before:

seems my speed is all over the place; should it be that erratic? and, how do i achieve greater speeds & average than my own isp?

@heyufool1 - Love both their albums.

This is a really cool mix of chiptune/video game music. Very nice stuff!! https://soundcloud.com/zedgamesau/chip-vgm-ultramix

[EDIT] btw, if you play that song in Amarok (the music player), you get an easter egg.

Soon as we're on the subject of MO, this has always been my favourite of his.

Also got the new HtDA album, though not actually had a chance to listen to it properly yet.

Not Maiden, but listening to some Ayreon, which has a song with Bruce Dickenson in it.

If you like metal and like epic things (I don't use the term inappropriately, the albums are meant to be epic science fiction), then Ayreon is worth listening to. Essentially it's the creation of a Dutch guy called Arjen, who composes these albums and gets people from various bands to perform on each of the songs. They're all story based and each album follows a narrative. The albums also incorporate different styles.

Another track I love, but from a different album. But it has some of my favourite vocalists, Tom Englund (Evergrey), Hansi Kursch (Blind Guardian), Jonas Renkse (Katatonia) and Floor Jansen from After Forever, who's currently also filling in as vocalist for Nightwish, I hope they keep her, she's a really good vocalist IMO.

Speaking of which, why not have some After Forever too, it's been a while since I've listened to them.

Oh and whilst we're at it for female vocalists, what about Doro Pesch?

I'm sure she'll please all the WoW fans out there, I mean, she was a Warlock before any of yous!
