Hi I have been working with FPSC Classic since I got it last month with the Winter Deal.

My question is,is there a way to make the graphics look any better?

Yes I know I have access to reloaded but at bronze level you can't make a profit with any games ya make with it unless ya upgrade. Which it costs too much for my budget at the moment.

So I am stuck with Classic, just wondering if there was a way to make the graphics look better, not sure who would by any games made with classic

Try out Nomad's mod - http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=211964&b=21

Or you can follow Wolf's guide to lightmapping - http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=186371&b=21

You can also go to File > Preferences and change Lighting shadows to 'Best for quality', Visuals to 'Full Shader Effects', and Texture Quality to High(no reduction).

Also, go into your FPS Creator directory then open up setup.ini and change lightmapquality to any value from 1 - 100. The higher the value, the better the lightmapquality.

Have fun

Hi JamesJB34, and Yes. Reloaded will be better, but when it's finished and out of beta. For now "classic" is a good place to
get started. Your only limited by your imagination, the graphics
you can make and game play. Where reloaded may look slick,
player immersion in a good game is more important. Firstly have you
upgraded to one of the newer versions? (V1.15 thru 1.20)
Here are a few quick links to help with graphics and such...

Read thru these and use the search feature to get more info.

Many games have been made available thru indie sites and have done rather well. One just recently went up on Steam! Others have gone
on to major studios using Fpsc-Classic as a stepping stone.
Not bad if I say so It really depends on how serious you
are about making games.
If you have any more questions, just ask!
best luck

My games never have bugs. They just develop random features..

I want to make games but not sure where to start isn't thier enough FPS Shooters out there?

Would like to make a game like a dungeon crawler with magic, swords, armor, skills, crafting etc. But I have a feeling I am going to need more than FPSC to do it I have no programming knowledge

Would like to make something quick just so I can upgrade AppGameKit to v2 and go up to Gold with FPSC Reloaded.

So it is possible to get on Steam? thought I read someplace its hard to sell on there with games ya make.

You can definitely make a dungeon crawler type game with FPS Creator. There are many model packs and scripts available to help you get started.

For spells/magic, you should check out EAI's KoE pack - http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=151097&b=24

I started a dungeon crawler type game a while ago called Aeralnu. It had swords, magic, crafting, an inventory system, and it was a nice little game. I never released it though.

It is definitely possible to get on Steam too! There are a couple of games made with FPS Creator that are on Steam.
