Super Mario 64. First game I actually completed, bar Rise of the Robots, which was rubbish anyway.

The end credits was class too. In fact, the whole game is class, bar a few problems.

Originality is not dead, it just has an annoying tendency to fall asleep without setting the alarm clock

Hey, your that guy who wants to make a MMORPG? Please read this;

I have been using Dark Basic for more than 4 years. I use it regularly, I know alot about computers and I have finished many projects (see my link at the bottom). A MMORPG is not possible in DB, DBPRO or dare I say it, Dark SDK. At all. Attempting to make one is a waste of time. You can however, make a regular RPG - without the online bit! That is much cheaper, and will allow you to use many of your original ideas. E-mail me at drewcameron@ddrw.com if you'd like a bit of help.

In response to your poll - Abe's Exoddus.

The Secret Of Mana (SNES)

In my opinion still the best RPG ever made, a mix between Zelda and Final Fantasy, with a brilliant sotryline, good graphics (for its time), and suitable music.

[Edit]: I agree with Sagetech. That was uncalled for Drew, if he thinks he can make an MMORPG, let him try, and its nothing whatsoever to do with this topic.

One reason why I say Panzer Dragoon Saga is because every review I've read about the game where they compare it to other great RPGs, like Final Fanrasy, Zelda etc. say the overall package is just so well presented and ingeniously designed, it just works. The whole world, the fact they created an entire spoken language specifically for the game series, I don't know of any other game where the develoeprs went to such lengths.

If a game could be called 'beautiful', PDS would be it!

I enjoy every minute of it!

I really enjoyed Zelda Ocarina of time but the best game for both single and multi player capability has got to be Call of Duty

Perfect Dark - N64

I honestly can't decide between the two so I've posted both.

Half-Life 1 (PC) - And that includes all the games modded from it.
Goldeneye (N64)
Doom 1 2 and Final Doom (PC) - Not Doom 3, Not really up there in the list.

I can't decide from those 3. All of them i spent more hours on than anything else. All of them I still play more then anything else (well, except for Counter-Strike: Source, i've played that alot). So its a real stalemate between them.

Hmm I Opened this thread to pay homage to what I thought would be a neglected title. But no The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time Rules!! In what other game can you while away the hours fishing. The broad scope of things to do is increadable and each little detail is extrodinarily well done. Not to mention the groundbreaking controls and camera work

Something really catchy that makes people stop and think about the meaning of life and say to themselves "My but thats clever"

I have decided that the best game of all time is...Super Mario World for the SNES. Can't beat that kind of side scrolling fun.

Final Fantasy XI...just hope you're not like me...and you catch a monster on your hook while you're doing it.

But I never played OoT, maybe I would change my mind.
