Yes, the last two episodes have been excellent. A real demonstration of classic British Sci-Fi at its very finest.
As for the Doctor's regenerations, he's potentially in more trouble than you realise. While Time Lords are supposed to only have 12 regenerations, this assumes that the Hartnell Doctor was his first "life". In a couple of episodes over the years its been suggested that this wasn't his first life. In fact, its been suggested he's not even a real Time Lord. In some episodes there have been cryptic references to him being around at the time of Rassilion (which should be impossible) and in the Paul McGann telemovie it was said he was half human, and that he considered himself to be British to boot! This half human stuff has been disavowed by the BBC though.
Also, we've encountered "potential" other Doctors. In the Trial of a Time Lord season (Colin Baker era) the Valeyard, the Time Lord's prosecutor, was revealed to be the Doctor's final regeneration, where the Doctor had turned evil. This was then fudged a bit towards the end by there being a suggestion by the Master that the Valeyard was only a "potential" future self of the Doctor.
Mind you, this is Sci-Fi so lets not let something as simple as plot consistency hold us back. If the Master can exceed all his regenerations and get a new set of lives, why can't the Doctor?
