What was with the Dalek's observation in the trailer at the end of the episode??

You've got a fleet of rnd(x) * 1000 warships sitting in orbit above Earth. The last thing you've going to say is (the Dalek equivalent of): "ooooh crap! We've been spotted!"

OF COURSE YOU'VE BEEN SPOTTED. YOU'VE GOT A CRAPLOAD OF WARSHIPS IN ORBIT!

Duuh. And Daleks are *supposed* to be genisuses. Why is it that they are ALWAYS saying the bleeding obvious?

Well, they have to tell some Dalek - otherwise they may not know. Having one eye sort of limits their outlook...

If I were an evil genius [1] and happened to be genetically engineering the ultimate sociopathic monster creature, I think I'd engineer it so it had INTERESTING conversation. For starters, I'd make it talk in iambic pentameter. And recite poetry. It'd also make a damn fine cup of tea and play a decent game of cluedo for all those quiet evenings in the laboratory while Igor is on holiday.

So you would make them social baddies... Have a cup of tea and a biscuit, perhaps with a chat about life, the universe and everything, before you die a horrible death by listening to poetry...

I think someones been watching the THGTTG film...

I do think Saturday is the wrong day - it would be better to have it on during the week - Tuesday or Wednesday for example.

Indeed - might be good, although it looks like a blantent advertisment for two TV programs (which must go against the BBC's charter).

Got my e-mail program ready

Have you ever been in a courtcase featuring both Daleks and Cybermen?

It would be bad to be on the jury.

Heh... alright my interest is peaked with who the Master Dalek is now. The voice sounds like it could be that weird one from the original series; but then I get the feeling it's another Timelord.

Wouldn't last long - if you weren't terminated by the Daleks, zapped by the Cybermen, you would have to deal with Judges...

And if you were giving evidence, you would have to deal with the species more deadly that all of those put together - the lawyers.

I believe it is either: (1) Davros; (2) possibly the Master; or (3) the Dalek who escaped from the previous episode in the series.

Personally I think its Davros.

Doubt it'll be The Master as he was eaten by the TARDIS in the film; some people suggest Adam as he would have a grudge, although it would be more likely to be Davros, having survived his previous termination.

it said it was self destructing but did it? it could of just used some sort of transporting system, but i serously doubt it would be that dalek as it has a fatal flaw - it has emotions

The BBC are really hyping the final episode. The official website [href]www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho[/href] is running a spoiler each day this week until Saturday.

Today's spoiler is, er, odd. "The God of Daleks"? WTF?

I'm pretty sure the master Dalek is Davros, but he is also the Dalek that got "genetically transformed" by Roses DNA in the previous episode, therefore transforming him over time into a humanoid type creature. He then genetically engineered the Dalek race all over again. Would make sense and fits perfectly with the story.

Just watched the Dalek Episode a little bit ago...

I don't think it killed itself, remember how tricky and deceiving the Daleks are. He probably just transported himself somewhere. Then again, I've only just watched episode 7, will watch 8 in a little bit.

I am suprised at how much better Billie Piper gets as it goes farther down the series. The first 2 episodes I couldn't stand her, and now she's doing an all right job. Christopher Eccleston is a pretty damn good Doctor though IMO.

It could have teleported away somewhere. The bit that makes me think that, is because in the previous epsiode, when the Dalek escaped from the cell, it said "The Daleks live on through me!". And in the trailer, the voice says "The Daleks lived on through me!".
