The words "competative pricing" haven´t arrived to Spain yet unfortunatly. It´s a hell of alot cheaper to order things from England. They still sell most of the stuff at RRP and even second hand games aren´t cheap (compared to when I was in England and knew people at markets).

Thank you for the votez!1!

Britain really is a good place for second hand games and gear - most people tend to swap out their old games for new ones - so there's a great supply of pre-owned games.

For example, GameStation offers 4 pre-owned XBox games for £20 - they often suck but that's beside the point - the budget market that comes along near the end of a consoles life can prolong it consideribly - just look at how long the Dreamcast kicked and screamed.

Just thought I'd add that I own an Xbox, PS2 & GC but still the DC has my favourite games of this generation. It had some seiously AAA quality stuff and technically was superior in many ways to the PS2. Its great for homebrew stuff too, you can make you own software for too, run emulators, media players, etc.

This was a bit back

Quote: "Actually America is not a Democracy we're a Republic. A Democracy is where all people have an equal say in the leadership. Since we're a Republic we are dictated by the rich and powerful... under the guise of Democracy. Yes, we are free to do as we want but ultimately the freedom is determined by how much money and power you have.

Take OJ Simpson... we all know he murdered his wife yet he's free. We all know Michael Jackson is guilty... yet he's free. They are both rich and powerful people. If a person is convicted of murder he/she gets out in 2 years(at the least)... steal electricity from Edison and you get 30 years. See the difference? One is murdering a nobody and the other is stealing from a large company. The rich make the rules... the rich benifit the most from the rules... that's America in a nutshell.

Freedom?... you speak Yang words!"

US Politics is worse that I thought, I know the rich got off better off, the rich are bas*****s, I should know, look at me Uncle Keiren and Aunt Evangeline (She hates women, what a weirdo..) Well, when are the poor gonna be powerful, well, one day hopefully the f***ed up world and politics will sort out, and I hope to do my bit in that, and well I think you all know whats wrong with the world so I'll go on topic.

@Mir, you're right, me game cube with 3 games cost £80 (Games were Need for speed, Matrix, XIII) seperately the gamecube was sold for £30, and now the same shop is giving off Xbox's at discount prices, I guess 'GAME' were competing with the other game shops in area, MVC is now closing down, which is a shame, cos I will have to buy me CDs off of Amazon

I know, I know the people were to stupid to flee when ordered, but still require support, shelter and rescue and now mainly black people are left, and have are not being saved because some are shooting at the rescue helicopters to remain their state of anarchy, which really spoils it for everyone, but methinks Bush should still send support for those needed, if rescue helicopter get shot at, then use ones from the Air force and they'll have defense, and well people would deter from firing at an Apache with regular weapons

"kanagroo 2 beta what's the dcs graphics like?"

The worst games are like PS1 graphics running in High res with better textures.

The best games look much nicer than the vast majority of PS2 games - the graphics chip is more comparable to that of the Gamecube, Ie the images are crisper, brighter and clearer on large screens, and don't suffer from many of the limitations of the ps2's chip. For example, Soul Calibur on DC is VERY comparable with the GC and Xbox versions of SC2, and other than a few gimicky effects are far better than SC2 on PS2.

Many great games for DC were converted to PS2 and all off them were infinitely worse, plaguesd by lower poly counts, lower frame rates, worse textures, longer loading times, I could go on.

Essentially technically the System was superior in many (but not all) ways to the PS2. The biggest plus point from my perspective was the fact that 99% of DC games run at 60hz (like the GC & XBox) as opposed to the PS2 which for 99% of the games is stuck in 50hz. This means that DC games usually have no screen borders at the top and bottom, and run at the same reoslution and speed that they do in Japan. As opposed to the ps2 running at 50hz will be squashed or stretched to fit, and be running 17-20% SLOWER than PS2 in the UK.

I'm not saying that games with rubbish graphics weren't released, MANY were, just the same as the PS@. But the best games on DC will look as nice, and often nicer, than the best on PS2

Not related to graphics but the DC also had some other major advantages over the PS2, the main ones that stick in my head are
1: It had four joypad ports as standard, no need for add ons
2: It could go online from the off, coming with a 56k modem, which played Quake 3 very well without lag, and even had a very good Online RPG in the form of Phantasy Start Online.
3: The controllers (pads, guns, sticks) had screens on them, which could display maps, stats (ie health) formations in sports games, and many other usfull things, these are particularly great for multiplayer games as only you can see them not your opnonents You could even take out the screens to find they had gameboy style buttons attatched and you could play min games on them which you could unlock in the full games or download online!

Unfortunately the DC only really failed because of poor marketting and Segas poor reputation after the Huge flops of the GameGear, Mega CD, 32x and Saturn. Also it missed out on some pretty huge 3rd party games which Sony bought exclusive rights too, for example no EA games, or Pro EVO, and it died before GTA3 was in development

Its a shame what happenned to the DC, amazing homebrew scene for it though as I said, and its easy to develop for as it even has its own Official Microsoft version of Windwos, so Game & App development is very easy

@DB mad, thats just not right, he's their president, his job is to protect and care for his citizens with his power, I see none of that, he's bad at his job, he should get the sack, I'd get the sack if I took half an hour to wash 3 pots on a busy night, and do that sort of thing on a regular basis, the reason for the pots being dirty aint my fault, but its my job to clean them, if I don't do it or clean the quick enough I get told off (I'm not a lazy worker, I'm using it as a metaphor) and well as with any job, and well including the president, but his job effects many lives, but thats why he has a fat pay check, so I've had people tell me off for blaming Bush on things, well in truely, I'm only complaining about his bad job and his ways to cheat his job, and I take the mick outta his way of doing it badly, like we take the mick outta Karl for taking 40 minutes to do a starter.

@Kangaroo, DC sounds good, well some of its games did get released on Gamecube, like Sonic Adventure 2, that game rules

Yes the GC and Xbox versions of DC games have been good Just the Ps2 versions that suffered really badly

And yeah, it was (and still is) a great system. Don't just think I'm a fanboy, I own all consoles, going way back to the early 80s. I just hate to see consoles which are obviosuly superior getting outsold, mostly due to marketting Although there are some blindin games on PS2 nowadays too, so its hardly a dead fish

Glad I don't live in USA, and plan to never go there, if I want Big Red, just import it. And well, as I constantly say, the whole world is f***** up, of course if you look in the dictionary under ignorant, it would say this

'Ignorant: adj. (IG, NO, RANT)
1: Word used to describe the 'ignorance' of a person or being, 'You are an ignorant fool'
2: Word used to describe a 'typical Western person' usually American, but Europeans are also 'ignorant'

The word IGNORANT derives from the Viking word, IGNOR, which means, President-like, to be ignorant, is to resemble a president of your era.

Hey I'm no hippie man, you're like messing up my Karma man, peace out.

Just because I believe in peace and right treatment, and that the way countries are governed and do it in a non violent way, doesn't make me a hippy

(If I used violence to get peace, that would make me a hypocrit, like animal rights activists using violence)

Now what state is it illegal to throw a live deer out of a flying aeroplane...So can we throw a dead one or a child? Kinda like on Brainiac: Science abuse 3 where they're getting products with 'do and don't' on them, and finding loop holes for danger, same idea applies to a lot of US Laws
(One brainiac thing was 'They don't tell you not to use a record player player a sandpaper like grinder thingy in a caravan covering in petrol...it blows up )
