Me

Metal/Hard Core
Rock
Some Punk
Industrial

and anything good

I'll list a few bands

Metal/hard core- Basically my I-tunes library, over one gigs of this, so well,
Trivium, Dry Kill Logic, Black Sabbath, Coal Chamber, devil Driver, Shadows Fall, B;ack Label Society, System of a down is a very few of bands I love in that style of music

Rock/Blue- I used to like the foo fighter's but lost taste in them, but like Jimi Hendrix, Dire Straights, Cream, Eric Clapton, BBKing

Punk-GreenDay (well thats Punk-rock and isn't very punky, but I'll put em in this category anyway) Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys(oh they rule!!!!) not a big fan of the Clash but I fought the law, the law one
Industrial: Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Rammstein(Ja. Ein Deustche gruppe)

Other good music: I find this odd of me, but like em anyway
Damien Rice(He rules), Pavaroti, Traditional Japanese music, some classical music.

Thats quite a range, so what do you's lot like?

I don't like Country, I don't like Classical, Metal isn't all the great, I don't like 50's-60's music.

Anything else I can listen to.

(here's me going thru all the bands on my computer, hey i have nothing better to do right this second)
AFI's Sing the Sorrow is really good
Ben Folds (Five) kicks butt
Blink 182 is good
Breaking Benjamin is probably one of THE best bands ever
Cake is okay sometimes
Coldplay is okay, all their music is the same tho
Collective Soul has a few good songs
Creed has like, 2 good songs, the rest suck
Evanescence is okay sometimes
Finger Eleven is good
Foo Fighters is okay
Goo Goo Dolls USED to be good, their new stuff is just crap
Green Day's new album is AWESOME, not a big fan of their old stuff tho
Hoobastank's stuff all sounds about the same...
Hot Hot Heat is fun to listen too they're awesome
Jimmy Eat World is AWESOME
The Killers are good
I have and love all of Lifehouse's CDs
Linkin Park kicks butt, but their remix albums and stuff suck
Lostprophets old cd sucks, but their newer one is really good
Muse is one of the best bands ever
A Perfect Circle, they're just weird, not bad.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers's By The Way CD is Awesome, the rest sucks
Rise Against is pretty good, really different from the rest of my stuff
Snow Patrol are really good
I really like Switchfoot
Sum 41 is pretty good
Three Days Grace are really good
I'm really loving Trapt right now, just got their cd a while back
Yellowcard pretty much sucks.

There, now you all know exactly what I like I just went down from the top to the bottom of my library and told you how i feel about almost every band on my computer

sorry about the long post, in my mind there are only three Genre's of music, Crap, good, and Awesome. And i figured you didnt want to hear me say "I like anything that isnt crap or country", which, by the way, i hate Country and Hip-Hop-Rap-Crap.

I'm heavy into the metal scene pretty much...

Nevermore
Children of Bodom
Killswitch Engage (wasn't on this list till I saw em live a few nights ago, too great a show to not give recognition)
Iced Earth
Hypocrisy
Dimmu Borgir (some of their stuff I should say, not all of it)
In Flames
Slayer
Cradle of Filth (like Dimmu, only some of their stuff that I really really enjoy)

Then I also like other bands/artists from outside metal

Frank Zappa/The Mothers of Invention
Nine Inch Nails (I guess in a way they can count as metal, though its actually industrial)
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Anything John Williams
Gorillaz
Most any game soundtrack (Especially ones by Akira Yamaoka [Silent Hill] and Nobuo Uematsu [Final Fantasy])
Various Trance

So yeah, I can vary.

Megadeth, Metallica, and Slayer.

All metal before the 1990's. todays music sucks except bands trying to keep the old metal sound such as nevermore and Iced Earth.

I pretty much like all the classic hard/metal rock stuff. Haven't heard it all since I'm a young'un, but everytime I hear something it's great.

Some stuff that's good:
Electric Light Orchestra, ALL STYX, Queen, ACDC-y'know all that good stuff. Plus The Beatles, jazz (Gordon Goodwin's Big Phat Band and The Bad Plus), and the few good game soundtracks. I've heard a bit of Muse, and they sound rather nice. Classical music and film music is always great. Check out "Warsaw Concerto".

I mostly like listening to rap, but I'll listen to anything where I can understand the lyrics. I'll also listen to any kind of music with instruments only.

I don't think i'm obsessed with him. Back when I was in Jr. High I heard some music that everybody was listening to... yet none of it I liked. One day while flipping channels I saw for a split second a guy holding a banana in the air. I thought "What was that?" and flipped back to a channel I had always passed by... MTV. I listened to the music and I was amazed... music that I actually liked! It was in the middle of it so I had no idea who that guy was. So for about a week I watched MTV waiting for that video to show up again. It was pure tortue listening to all the crap on that channel but I endured it... till they finally showed that video again. Weird Al Yankovic... after I wrote down his name and watched the video I jumped up and down for joy and shouted "Yes! Finally I can stop watching MTV!!!" and didn't watch MTV for at least 15 years (I only now watch it for those reality shows). If I seem to be obsessed with him... it's only because his music is all I like.

Actually about half of his music is entirely his own (not a full list):
I Was Only Kidding
When I Was Your Age
Airline Amy
You Don't Love Me Anymore
My Babys In Love With Eddie vedder
Germs <-(my fav)
Your Horoscope For Today
The Truck Driving Song
Albuquerque
Everything You Know Is Wrong
Callin' In Sick
Since You've Been Gone
I'm So Sick Of You
I Remember Larry
The Night Santa Went Crazy
Young Dumb And Ugly
Franks 2000" TV
Traffic Jam
Talk Soup

What are you talking about? Over half his stuff is his own creations--- his own melodies.

I used to be a large fan of Weird Al--- even went to his concert the night before exams in Grade 10, but I haven't listened to any of this stuff after Alapalooza. Maybe it has something to do with hating all current music as it is.

I dont consider it a privilage to pay more in order to see a group of floppy fringe fags sit in a pub. Sorry, thats my 2pennies worth.

I liked Green Day when the albums were'nt aimed at 10 year olds. They're sell-outs, but worse than that they dissed these new punk style bands that basically paved the way for their recent success. Bring back Basketcase, back when Billy-Joe could look himself in the mirror. Ranting I know but it really annoys me when bands completely disapear up their own butts like that.

Mostly I've been listening to:

SOAD
Pearl Jam
Korn

I think Mezmerize(SOAD) is a 2 parter, so there should be another album real soon - all their albums are worth having though.
