Hi!, so do I, welcome back.

why do they say Aliens are gonna be friendly?, surely the agressive ones wipe out the peaceloving ones, so all you have left out there are crazed flesh eating interstellar monsters.

About time you came back to see us.
Did you get the net finally hooked up at home? Cause if so.. some peoples MSN have kinda, erm changed. Should've probably covered that the other week, but hindsight is 20:20.

Good to see ya back on the forums though.

Welcome back Rose. Yep, a lot has changed. The most important thing that changed was David T's gender.

Gonna watch Stargate & Enterprise and correct some students homeworks, be back in a couple of hours.

ps. Any good ideas for KS3 ICT lessons.
I'm making a scheme of work for junior school ICT (age 11-14) and I'm looking for ideas.
Think programming would be too hard, but my 6th years might enjoy programming... hmmm

@Ben and Megaton: Err...no, please stop sharing your fantasies with others on the forum...

@David: I scared one of the few female members off when she posted a sig with her in her underwear.

Lets just say a few of us had our hormones raging, and had a few despereate attempts to get her to show more ><

/me hangs his head in shame.

It happened in a thread made by Ermes some time ago in General Chat iirc, I just can't find it again, for the best I guess.

I'm still about, but unfortunately my programming skills are lagging behind badly, I just can't find the time anymore.

I'm a Maths/IT teacher in Belfast, but because I only spent 2 years on the Bsc HONs Computer Science degree (its supposed to be a 4 year course) I qualified early so I'm really only a few years older than some of my students.. lol if only they knew. This is my 2nd year in a permanent teaching post and I love it!!!

As for Ks3 ICT, I hate excel too! I'm currently writing a photoshop tutorial so that should be useful and I made up a CIA case, that lets the students believe they are CIA agents, with tasks like: 1st a spy has leaked all CIA passwords, change your password asap, 2nd create a letter to 'a friend' but make sure you include this top secret information... and it includes a little of everything from WPS to SS to DTP. Could be fun.

Is everyone else here a full time programmer? I worked for SX3 for a few years when I was 16, bored me to tears and I got a lotta stick in the office.
Being a female whos a 6ft redhead with green eyes has many disadvantages in a male orientated workplace.
Maybe if I was short and fat it would have been different.

Which reminds me I have a photo of when Raven arrived at my uni!, Maybe I should post it....

Hello

If i remember correctly you made that small horror game? It was black and white with old projector effects.. you walked through the forest to a house where theres a creepy ghost that chases you. It was brilliant, had a lot of potential. Gonna carry on with that?

Yes...decent stuff that uses interactive white boards. I'm a school governor (KS1 & KS2) and I'd like to see teachers using decent interactive board programs instead of complete rubbish, just because it's still relatively new

Being a fulltime programmer and a governor, it's a topic close to my heart. If I had the time, I'd set about it myself.

So if you do something decent, I'll be your first customer.

Interactive whiteboards, from what I've seen of them, look like a very new and young technology. The ones here require a projector, which means it only takes a small knock on it and the line you drew is 1 foot to the left of where it should have been.

I'd wait until they're more mature.

Plus, they removed the old whiteboard
