i woulda tapped him on his shoulder... and said " i was about to grab the controller and you cut me off..."if he kept playing i woulda said to him in a hushed voice... "look you little ankle biter 're-re' get off the game...NOW" and he kept playing i woulda walked to the cashier and said "you see that kid he was saying some foul words around my G-f's little kids and i dont believe thats right" most cashiers would say somthing like: Okay ill talk to him...
and if the problem wasnt resolved by him getting kicked out i woulda just slapped his mom for bringing such a re-re 6 year old into the world.

well actually i wouldnt...if it was for a psp i would but not the xbox 360

I play splinter cell so this is what I would do

-Hide behind shelf, shoot out lights.
-Grab kid like Sam Fisher does.
-Interrogate him.
-Not sure what to do next though.

@Explicate:
The only reason it was neck-n-neck with the PS2 is because the PS2 was a crap machine!!! Go and compare the Dreamcast to the Gamecube, if its up to the challenge, or if you feel lucky, try the xbox(not the 360).

Oh, and i would of shot out the lights jumpped and grabbed onto a pipe on the ceiling went over and come down and snap his neck...
me and little boy = little boy dead

P.s If you play Splinter Cell: Chaos Theorey, what is the best mission stats you have ever got?
Mine is: 100% succes rating on the last mission, i didnt knock one guy out, or kill anyone, and no alarms were set off.

You give the French too much credit. Dreamcast had crap games. If it was portable it wouldn't make a difference, then you could play crap games ANYWERE! Yay!

Well,

I'd shove the controller up his a**

Then smash his head against the TV screen VIOLENTLY Then leave the scene with my hands in my pockets and whistling...

Almost the exact same thing happened to me about a week before Christmas. I was mooching about in a games shop with an un-used 360 next to me, just as I decided I might aswell have a go a little kid wandered up with her brother (both about 6) and started playing. I waited 5 minutes, they finished, I played it for 5 minutes (PGR3, and the loading times weren't exactly lightning quick) got bored and bought a second hand copy of FF10 (which doesn't work, scratched to buggery and back).

Half-Life was on dreamcast? Did not know that. Have Half-Life 2 for Xbox though, so that makes up for it!

I thought those were PC games. Well, not Jet Set Radio and Sonic. I only ever played Half-Life on PC.

They also released half-life for the PS2, that version had a co-op mode for two people to play through the game together iirc.

Yes, HL and Quake 3 were PC games ported to the Dreamcast. Believe it or not, but the Dreamcast version of Q3 ran at a faster FPS than the PS2 version. Yes, I still have all my DC magazines.

But it was still the same game. So if I had a choice between a console that ran 3 good games (2 of which I could play on something else as well) or an assortment of other systems that played the 2 good games that are multi-cosole, and (10023459988734598891692285521135*2)^54 other games that are good. I'd buy the one with the most AO games... but that's just me.

I would pick the kid up with the DS stylus, turn the cabinet upside down and nick the GFX hardware... not that it is much better than mine.

I would chop off his *****, throw 'em in the microwave, eat 'em, and toss the rest of the kid in a woodchipper.

Sadistic? Compared to the other things going through my head, I am practically worshipping him.

Argh ok I didn't see this thread slip into a Dreamcast bashing nightmare....

1: Portable Dreamcast would rule!

2: Dreamcast is FAR better than a ps2 and graphics of the best games are a lot similar to GC & Xbox than most peopel realise, especially for clarity and smoothness, and at 60hz constantly in Europe

3: Dreamcast has a modem built into it, which is FREE to use and was the first console to play online games such as Quake 3, Phantasy Star Online, Chu Chu Rocket, Daytona USA and more. These games ran smoother and with no lag even without a broadband connection!

4: Dreamcast joypad had a screen on the pad to display information such as hud style stats, this is infinitely better than displaying them onscreen as you can keep stats, tactiics etc secret from friends in multiplayer. You could also remove the screen and carry it around with you, using it to play tetris and virtual pets, as well as saving save games on it to take to a friends house, OR PLUG INTO AN ARCADE MACHINE to upload your high scores!

5: Dreamcast has Windows installed on it and without chipping ti you can easily write or download software for it and burn it onto CDR then run it on your consle. You can use it for DivX, Mpg, Mp3, Emulators and running homebrew games.

6: Ok so all those games mentioned (except jet set radio) are available on PC, but there were SOOOO many AAA games available for Dreamcast, most of which were either exclusive, or far better on DC. PS2 and PC conversions of Dreamcast games were never even close to being as good.

7: Dreamcast had your mum.

8: And your Sister.

I like xbox (I own one) and 360 (I will get one soon). Trouble is they are both relative successes, whic they deserve to be. The reason people harp on about the Dreamcast is because it was in competition with the PS1 and N64, was easily 20 times better than them, the same price and had amazing games, and still was outsold by them! Its an absolute tragedy.

Sure the Xbox is better, I've got one, I love it, and I admit that. The point is, the dreamcast was out YEARS before it, and is still very close to being as good as it when used properly - that shows how far ahead of its time it was. The PS2 was a worse machine, but didn't come out until LONG after the DC, the xbox and gc were literally years after it, and still are only JUST better... surely thats got to be impressive and mean it deserves some respect ?

That's sort of hard to say on your end - This was 2000. There was no Ratchet & Clank, no GTA, the PS2 literally had crap games compared to the DC, that's why the DC pulled ahead. Only much later one when the PS2 got some popular games was it considred the "better system".

PS2 started of with games that look nowhere as good as they do today for the very same system. If the DS lived through this same technological advance, I think we would have seen some really graphicly intense games pushing the system out of it.

Yes games on thte ps2 basically sucked for a long time before they got started. The first game I saw that impressed me was Gran Turismo 3 but MSR on DC was still better - the first game that made me go out and buy a PS2 was GTA3 and that was a very long time after PS2 release...

Hi,

I would've acted like it didn't bother me and go do something else. Kids tend to do stuff that annoys adults, and the kid probably saw you coming to play and jumped in front of you. He was probably enjoying seeing you get annoyed at him playing badly too.

Everytime a little kid jumps in front of me, I just walk away. Then the kid usually sees that it doesn't bother me and gives up the console. Then I jump on the system and start playing.

You have to be smarter than the kids, and understand their ways.

I am a fan of Nintendo, and Microsoft, but i hate Sony(sometimes)... But in all fairness to Sony, the PS3 will be a powerfull machine, but it just wont feel like a properly developed console.(The controlers look like boomerangs, but thats not the only reason, its like owning a toaster that dosnt make toast, and other technical reasons on its hadware, and software.!!!)
