Scorched Skies is nearing completion and all we need to really finish the ANIRE Inferno engine is a shader programmer, have you got what it takes?

well you heard that from the graphics guru himself, green.7
green.7 is the best person in the world at graphics and we are proud to have him in our team. look at the pictures at the start of the thread, would you find that graphicly superior or the most current picture most graphicly superior?

either way green.7 has done all the graphics in this game apart from the map graphics and the skys

thx DE...
but as i like to say:
someone with skills don't need to proclaim he's good, others will do.
and by the way, there are better ones than me, but i love to do this, there's passion in this project and i hope it's visible.

One thing more: is there someone skilled with shaders that can give us a hand or at last a finger (please not the middle one )?

thx DE, dunno what to say about all this, it makes me feel bit strange and bit happy. it's good to see am walking this project with friends, theres nothing better than this, may it stay.
other than this, im not the one that talks that much about my skills and stuff, as i learned a long time to do this. if eray would start by now and does a regulary practicing, he will be better than me if he will be as old as i am. ant there is a certain bit of luck needed: sometimes you do something with a clear vision (its allways good to have a clear vision about what you will reach) ont it turns on something realy else than you wanted, probably by a error or something done wrong, but it is better than you ever expected. that's not skill, thats luck. skill is to learn from and redo it a second time. so, skill is the mind that leads the hand and a drop of luck to make it shiny. at last for artists.

yep friends is the way to move forward

He who fights the darkness too long becomes the night. Think about that.

If you think Eray has the skill then he has my full support as well.

Being better then you is really saying something but I think Eray has the potential to be as good as you (he hasnt unlocked the skills yet)

A pinch of luck has never hurt has it? just dont rely on it because if not your pretty much either super lucky or dead

WOW the game looks great from that one screen shot. I would LOVE to see some more shots of the game!! I think this is great what you guys are doing, its been kinda a small dream of mine to produce something like this with a small team. Maybe sometime in the near future I could work with you guys on some future projects.

right pat12131 has posted but it seems to be a new account so until the message appears you can see this quote:

it would be great for you to join us but where we are nearing completion we need people that will not slack so what skills do you have and how long have you had them skills?

thanks for the feedback you guys are great!!! i will definately post more pictures soon but I will tidy up the engine a bit more before hand because the overall quality is a bit lacking, would you believe that dragon is 256x256 resolution and the map is only 1024x1024 and the skybox is 960x960? well we are undergoing a graphic and engine update and I think it is time to make an announcement:

I have been emailing ATI and now we are using the rendermonkey fx tool but with a difference THEIR SUPPORT!!!

they are helping us achieve HDR and AA and Dynamic Flow Control!!!

Well you read it here first...

Till then,
DarkEternity

Are there any models you guys need? Other then maps. And what kind of models do you need? What look are you going for? What quality are you going for? Do the models need rigging? What size maps do you need? Could you give some more screenshots?

i will post more screen shots soon but i gonna wait for the new maps to show you more of how the engine adapts to a map

green.7 does the modeling so if he wants help with it then he can answer these questions but it would seem unfair to take his work and then just send it to other people for a new texture or a bit of tweaking etc...

Green, I suspect you check this forum more, so I'm making a cave level and I'd just like to have a still model of the biggest dragon. (so I can fit it into the cave)

hmm, pat, if you can model and map too, both together, i think we could give him the foliage and other models like rocks and stuff to fill the levels, if noone of the team owns treemagik or something similar.
or you can do a ropebridge or a ruined tower or stuff like this. as said to fill the levels. try to take it lowpoly, quality as good as it gets, will have a look then and give some critics, or even let me impress.

that is pretty dam awesome i think i would be delighted to say WELCOME ABOARD!!!

the bridge is great and seems to be a very good quality one...

also nobody in the team owns treemagik as far as i am concerned so if you could be the enviroment modeller that would be great, one thing can you export to .x or .3ds?

Hey guys I am working on some stuff right now, just wanted to show you something I was fumbling with. Just a small basic temple, just to see if you guys wanted to use it or not. Also I downloaded a freeware trees plugin creator for Maya, so we'll see how it works out as soon as I figure out how to install it and how to run it.

Yeah, I thought I was making a bridge just to fill the maps and such. I didn't know it was to be a bridge for the dragon to walk. But if so I can make a different one, it probably wouldn't be a rope bridge as that doesn't make too much sense to have a dragon walking across a drooping rope bridge.

Yeah you got it, I was thinking about making maybe just a huge section of temple, like in a rectangular shape, with a bunch of pillars, some of them broken and lying on the floor, maybe leading up to some sort of structure, I don't know yet.

indeed the dragons don't walk in this game, and even they don't walk that bridge, but there are other creatures living in this world we create, and they will walk over that bridge. and as you say pat, it is to make the environement more interresting.

hmm, maybe do this later, as we focus on the dragon stuff. but for an other project, why not.
btw: my spruce... 27 polys, texture 1x 256x256, let's make a forest.
i will make an other version of it with again lower polycount for level of detail, but this later.
