As suprising (or not) It may be, Im from Finland and my cousin to which I was making that machine, is more suprisingly too, so I had to name them so that she (yes, she) could also understand. Otherwise I would have gotten a support call "Where's the Internet Explorer, i cant see it" becouse of firefox icon at the desk.

Instead, the first support call I got was: "How do I close this game?" (frozen bubble). Answer was: press esc or select quit at the menu.
As you can see, I was right when I renamed them.

Bleh, my old theme when I mac'ed it up beat all yours, you haven't put effort in I posted it on the old thread, but the link is still at http://provoking.co.uk/maccymaccymaccy.jpg for you to admire! Notice the Apple bar at the top with the File etc. switching to the window it is on. Heck I even had a replacement for explorer (file browsers, rather than a replacement shell)...

Anyway, I was playing with LiteStep and pieced together a theme on thursday, it's loosely based on a Gnome theme, but I didn't *quite* finish it, it's alright for my first one though, if I say so myself.

I think LiteStep and other windows modded themes are ugly and nonfunctional. The only reason I'd use it is for a mac or linux theme, if you're used to those.

Just remember that there are free and open source alternatives that benefit for you using them - find bugs etc -. You can do anything with those. And if you're so deep in the industry that their power is not enough, then you have money to buy those commerial products:

I couldnt fit the open office to the screen, but anyway I think you could do anything with those that hobbyist game requires.

Have you seen that new blender open movie: http://orange.blender.org/ that's very impressive.

Thats because they are filthy stinking pirates, I don't see why people download Max and Maya thinking OMGZ ThIs must be Teh BeSterz aPp out there, and not have a freaking clue how to use it (the amount of 3DS Max questions are coming more and more) Even if I was filthy stinking rich I wouldn't go anywhere near them as learning blender is about as easy/hard as Max or Maya.

Whereas some of us actually do the honest thing and pay for them.

Actually using gimp over photoshop is easier according to my classmates. One of them was trying to make a simple artwork in which is a shoe and the rope of the shoe forms hes name, anyway, after he had tried it an hour he asked me how to change a font (photoshop 5.5 some student edition). Then I installed gimp on it and opened it. After a five minute he had the right text, then he picked up a clone stamp that he had never used and started making it. Tweaking the colorvalues and shadows, he got it done in 30 min and that work was very impressive.

The teacher said me that he had never seen anyone do something as impressive in gimp just half an hour after opening the completely new program than in her whole teaching career students using photoshop have done. I made a short interview about it, it's in my linux partition, I'll see if I can dig it up some day.

Ok, but lets keep on topic, shall we?

Ha, well, obviously you know who is doing illegal things with torrent when they have to scribble the names out...

Sadly the people who are using torrent for illegal means are ruining it for those of us who are using it for sketchy, but not totally illegal, means.
