Flindiana - Your banner is harder to read than Hollywood's. You should clear it up some. Maybe you would listen jk

UFO, I did listen to people, When I tryed to re-make those banners they didn't come out right and people still couldn't read them so I decided to only enter very simple banners if you still can't read them I will try my best to fix them. @ Cash Curtis read the post under Jerry 124 it explains everything. Anybody who sits in front of a computer for a living is a little mental.
My new banner.

I'm just messing with you Hollywood. You seem okay. It's just that the whole Jerry124 thing was a bit weird. I did read the post below it, but that only served to deepen the weird feeling that I got.

But hey, cool.

Your shadows that are being cast off of the letters are a bit too much. Too much offset, not enough blur.

Maybe you should mimic some type of advertising banner. Look around for something professional and unrelated to programming. Try and mimic the style. It will be good practice. I think it will help out your color schemes and unity as well.

Now, I can actually read that one.......

Produce more like that and spend more time on them, and stop making loads that just have a bit of text.

Heres a little abstract banner I whipped up in about 10 mins with Macromedia Flash (Hehehe, I used an animation program). I made the background image on blender with a little totally fractal setting...

Make it stop! lol..

Hollywood, you have made 1 or 2 good banners so far, but the rest are junk...

do you make them with your eyes close?

Sorry about the criticism but I think it's needed....

Just put more effort into one banner than a thousand little banners. and Im sure you will create something as good as the others....

Hollywood - you are kidding right?

Flindiana - easier to read - certainly not.

Why can't people just make nice simple banners with easy to read text - is it so hard? I feel sorry for Rich who has to wade through pages and pages of absolute drivel.

Hollywood, you will get yourself a reputation a a spammer, and it will follow you through the forums, not just in this thread.

Can you see the difference between your banners and the others? In fact, can you see your banners?

Spamming is posting in abundance. There have been a lot of responses to your banners, suggesting that you need to...well, improve the quality rather than keep churning out quantity.

It's only advice. But when you need help with coding, you may find it's not happening as quick as you would like.

@BatVink,
Thanks for telling me what spamming is but it is not my fault people tell me to fix my banners and I try my best so if anything I'm not spamming I'm doing what people tell me what to do with my banners and I do it.

If I'm spamming I will definatally not post here again unless I have a banner that I have e-mailed to three friends and gotten confrimation from them it is alright.
@Freddrix, nice banners, same with you, Nevereverend Slaine.

I've just counted how many times you have posted in this banner thread and it's over 60 times. That is spamming in anyone's books. The idea of the compo was for each member to post a few half decent banners that will get chosen, not for all these unsuitable banners to fill up his server and waste his bandwidth.

What the feck? So you're basiclly saying "It's not my fault I produce crap work and don't listen to feedback"? Who's elses fault is that then?

That's like an engineer saying "Hey it's not my fault I designed that bridge poorly which later collapsed and killed 300 people".

Sane people are giving you constructive advice to improve your banners. Take it, work harder on your banners, and stop spamming.

Dork.

@Merranvo: With that poor NJL banner, you'll never get a following. Give up the NJL and join the logical side!

A stroke is a border around the text layer itself, so that you have a thin little line going around the words to help seperate them visually from the background.
EDIT: It's like the blue and red around my text on my banner =)
