When our ancestors came over it wasnt an english speaking country, it was a bunch of colonies set up around different cultural groups until the late 1800's early 1900's and so further.
I dont even see how you can relate the two then make conclusions on two totally different scenarios.

the second theyt step off the boat? take a look around... there is no boat! They are ILLEGAL. thats they only prblem I have. If you going to be illegal at least make somewhat of an effort to make up for not paying taxes and taking from our system of economy. If they are legitimate i have no problem with helping them, but thats usually not the case. They are in their own little non taxing communities with there ignorant "no speaky english" ways of operating. Now sure there are a group of them that do try, they are the ssmart ones. Just because your free doesnt mean your not going to be looked down upon for being ignorant. Try and not be a hypocrite for one second. Your so caught up in freedom for the immigrants your forgetting about the freedom that this guy has to do what he wants. Hes done it, its legal, people either like or dont like it. Big f*ckin deal... theres no law that states you have to speak english in the country, but there is one that states you have to be ABLE to speak english, its called the citizenship test. Of course those people your rooting for havent ever seen one of those.
And sure you could make a resteraunt that only speaks spanish. You wouldnt get much buisiness because thats not the official language.
Youd be damn well right to go down to mexico and post a sign that said that, because its mexico and people speak spanish there!
