Because everytime I think "Matt Rock" I can just see a big stubborn golem sitting at his PC and typing franticlly.

Making a mug of some funny forum regulars does sound like a good idea though.

IMHO it doesnt really look like it's made from rock and the arm on the left looks a bit odd but I'm sure it's a lot better than I could do. I like the idea behind it though.

But come on, I do try to bring facts and statistics to the table whenever I can. The only real case where I messed up was in the PS3/ 360 "debate"

I thought it was a sarcastic nomination Maybe I should run for mayor just as a publicity stunt lol. My campaign commercial against incumbant mayor Matt Ryan:

"In 2006, crime SKYROCKETED by 2%. Binghamton had it's worst flood ever and thousands of homes were damaged and destroyed. And now, there's a heatwave eating all of our electricity. And it's all Matt Ryan's fault! But Matt Rock wants to fix that. He wants to get rid of the two rivers (why do we need two? one should be more than enough) and make a large sun dome over the city, making it cooler AND creating thousands of jobs for New York's southern tier!"

Hehehe I wonder if I could get elected as mayor just by having funny commercials It works for Geico

Oh I laughed out loud when I saw Matt's new slogan. Just perfect.

Quote: "But come on, I do try to bring facts and statistics to the table whenever I can. "

Matt, you'll typically make a blanket statement about a group, stating that it's a fact, like "America hates gays", or "Texans are a bunch of dumb rednecks, it's a fact", when in fact it's not a fact, it's an opinion.

You can challenge us to find every instance of this, but why? It's long and tedious and pointless. Where there's smoke there's fire. If several people are saying that this is true, then there must be some truth to it. Rather than fighting it, you should address it.

This is absolutely hilarious.

I've put up with alot of your arrogance indi, but this is just annoying. Are you familiar with modesty? I guess you don't have time for mere things like that when you're making millions of dollars with a freelancing buisness. I've been very quiet regarding commenting on the quality of your work for a very, very long time because I thought to myself "Hey, well he apparantly makes some money from this, he must be doing SOMETHING right."

Still looking at your website, I cannot bring myself to comment on it because your inflated ego just makes me giggle like a 3rd grader on the last day of school before summer break. Maybe these people can provide you with some much needed advice, because I am obviously too novice to compare to you.

I think that no matter how amazingly talented I become in 200 years, I would never give out such a comment to someone of lower status then me. Just wow.

No hard feelings, but I felt I needed to say this.

Megaton is unquestionably a talented artist. There are many examples of that on this forum. Not only that, but he is an asset to this community.

Perhaps you don't like him, which is perfectly your right. I think though that you would be best suited expressing it in a different way then attacking him with a blanket statement about his talent.

I think indi objects to Megaton's sometimes provokative sense of humour. Why, just the other day he told me he wished my entire family was at the bottom of a deep pit so he could pile tons of rocks onto them. Oh how we laughed.

I think Indi and Mega need to kiss and make up. This clearly started a few weeks ago (not sure what happened) and it resulted in a slap of mega from Indi. Since then theres been a "tension" between these two. Needs resolving.

I hope he deserved it and it wasn't a rash decision from someone with more forum power than Mega.

I agree that MC can sometimes be provocative, but from what I've seen it generally is either deserved or meant in good humour.

In this situation I think Indi overreacted and should appologise

Right, and then I go and back up my opinions with these things called "facts." I'm not going to be addressing anything because I don't see how I do anything wrong. Yes, I get sensational, but that's your faults (as a group, not you specifically Curtis), not mine. When I'm the only person arguing constantly in support of an entire side of a debate always, every single time, it gets pretty tiresome and I end up being forced to leave annoyingly long posts and countering everyone's attacks at the same time, and usually for each intelligent person posting there's three people being idiots, so that's why I tend to leave opinions as facts, because I don't have the time (and who does) to say "this is my opinion, it isn't a fact." And sometimes, my opinions ARE facts <- just for you, oddmind. I use that because I don't want to come across as being hostile because sometimes I say stuff that I mean jokingly and not literally, like dragging people into the street to be shot (okay, I'm semi-serious on that one at times). A few examples:
* Bush is a flaming idiot/ Worst president ever: FACT (easily proven)
* Wal-Mart is Evil: FACT (easily proven)
* PS3 will be the top console: FACT (time will prove it for me)
* I've seen racism in the south: FACT (not as easily proven but it can be done)
* Americans don't like gay people (If you really need more stats, I'll be happy to dig them up)
* Religion brainwashes people at a young age/ religious people don't "decide" to be religious: FACT (easily proven/ common sense)

What else is being confused as an opinion? The PS3 thing can be viewed as an opinion now, but when I'm proven right, how many people will step up and acknowledge they were wrong? My guess: Zero people. And before someone says "that, that, and that are opinions," I'll be happy to prove each point as a fact, no questions asked. The question is, how many people will acknowledge that I'm right? I don't think that's ever happened, even when I've proven beyond any reason of doubt that I was right.

Quote: "seriously kid, drop the tude and suck up some talent. then people might take you a little bit more seriously. at the moment your a muse."

Indi, that was a bit over-the-top. I think he's pretty talented at what he does and he's funny most of the time. It's not my business if you guys are feuding, but I'm with CR here, you should make up (kissing is a bit extreme and I don't think any of us really want to see that ). Everyone has qualities and pitfalls.

Matt there are a fair amount of liberals on this board, I would go so far as to say they outnumber the conservatives, and perhaps like myself a few independents. If you find yourself the only member on one side of an argument perhaps it is because you go to far and blur your opinion into "facts" and people love to tear holes in something like that.

as for the following

Quote: "* Bush is a flaming idiot/ Worst president ever: FACT (easily proven)"

No its not fact its opinion, people say this about every incumbent, approval rating polls mean nothing history is the judge of these things. I remember growing up during the Carter years and my parents were bell bottom wearing ultra liberals and they even hated him and how much people hated him showed by not getting a second term. But look at him now people have mostly forgotten the negative and look at his work with Habitat for Humanity. Reagan was despised, and what happened last year he got voted the greatest american of all time. People, especially the youth, have forever and likely will forever hate the current administration whether Mother Terresa were our president or Jeffrey Dahlmer.

Quote: "* Wal-Mart is Evil: FACT (easily proven)"

Though I despise Wal-Mart, I can't call them evil since they are just a product of free-enterprise, peoples desire to pay as little as possible for something, and accountability to their shareholders. This is OUR fault! We refuse to buy American, or at least from countries with a pay scale close to our own, in favor of saving a buck. If we as citizens want to fix the outsourcing/over seas manufacturing of our jobs we need to wake up.

Quote: "* PS3 will be the top console: FACT (time will prove it for me)"

Who knows here, there are so many factors how you can claim fact is beyond me. Will it continue to be delayed? Will companies start making more (only on console x) games? Will the world end before it finally hits the shelves?

Quote: "* I've seen racism in the south: FACT (not as easily proven but it can be done)"

Of course that is a fact, and it is a fact there is racism in the North, East, West, and on some remote little island not on any of our maps. Heck you go forward several hundred years to the time of the federation (an enlightened time) and there is still racism. It will never go away, though it will abate and become less common.

Quote: "* Americans don't like gay people (If you really need more stats, I'll be happy to dig them up)"

Quit making generalized statements like this, you are wrong. Individuals don't like gay people, Americans are fine. This goes to the old "All golden retrievers are dogs but not all dogs are golden retrivers" addage. Polls are worthless, if you have taken statistics you know that you can prove or disprove anything with the same data, plus the polls are always biased so there is no way to derive any answer but the one the pollsters are looking for. There should actually be no laws regarding marriage in any way, our government should have kept its darn nose out of regulating religious ceremonies. If you want to be recognized by the government, whether a hetero or homosexual couple, it should be done as a civil union.

Quote: "* Religion brainwashes people at a young age/ religious people don't "decide" to be religious: FACT (easily proven/ common sense)"

I could agree on this if it were not for the "decide" part of your statement. No matter the religion people do "Decide" to be religious or not, in the matter of chritianity does the person "decide" to accept JC as a saviour. Alot of people, including adults, go to church out of habit, spend their time in church thinking about the packers game later that day or whatever. To them religion is a burden, but they bear it. These people choose to say they are of so-and-so denomination but they are not truly religious. Others have "Faith" they truly believe with all their heart in the almighty and whatever, these people have "Decided" to be religious.

As for brainwashing, to an extent yes, but what isn't brainwashed into us? Our perception of beauty. When you say a girl is really HOT, how do you know?. oh yeah, society told you. think about the everyday things you accept as fact that are fact only because you were raised in a society that believes it.

I dont use my art to insult people, like this post, even if the recipient doesnt find it offensive.
paying someone out with art is pretty lame.
If you cant see this is an insult to another user through art in an insulting way, then perhaps my values and morals are vastly different to the norm.

If you dont like my opinion, thats not my problem, its an opinion.

I stand by my indignant outlook for this antagonist.
Theres a few kids here who troll around here, they come they go, wont be the first or the last.

In a professional environment this is the cork board artwork you walk past every morning and give it a chuckle. saying its part of your portfolio is complete nonsense.
its the cats way of insulting, not art, not creative, just pathetic in my opinion.

Im going to wash my hands of this post, peer group pressure is for weak minded sheep.
tension has risen for sure, ill keep that in mind, doesnt change the fact i dont tolerate
pandering of diatribe.

have a nice day, good luck with your time posting really important stuff.
