Why does it look like a picture from paint, set as a sprite?

And, Why do I get the feeling it is another one of your fake games?

If this is real, then im sorry, it just doesn't look convincing yet....

It is a real game. And I did use paint for all pictures (this is because I don't have any other programs to paint with or easier to paint with). Yes, the dog is made from paint set as a sprite.

It does need work before a demo, so I am afraid I can't prove anything at the time.

Thanks For All Your Comments! I will work on the colors on the menu and cp.

See, thats the spirit Jordan

Try looking at some websites and combinations of colors. Maybe you should try making a sort of blue carpet pattern in grey walls of the house. I could make some textures you could use.

It was made in DBC, and it's a dog-bot-thing. I got a mention in the newsletter too. If you need any help converting it to 2D, just ask.

2D has less commands and well, more math.but by using Plane's textured in 2D images,it looks like 2D,and uses 3D math.

however, not everyone understands how i think, and why i think that way.as i think any people like 2D more to code...

but to stop you now and let you re-code would be to bad.so keep it up!you actualy show something that looks OK now!

Different Colors? A bit better, I'd say (except maybe the neon green).

Here is a useful tool for finding out what color combinations will go well together.

That's because you started off on the wrong foot . You don't gain respect immediately, you have to earn it, just do your best, and learn to know when something isn't worth showing. You seem to have improved after your ban, so your getting better. Keep working on it . Game looks decent.

the game looks great its god to see you've got some things working in what looks like a game id be willing to play. my only crit is that the graphics could use a major facelift but you can always change that when you are done.

The main thing that is suspicious are the black pixels around the cursor, if you look they are different in every screenshot, but even if this is a real project, the ammount being showcased here isn't enough, same with all the other topics he has created, theres nothing wrong with being new to dbc but these topics should stick to the newcomers/dbc boards imo, as topics like this attract more attention than the actual projects that deserve it.

How about using some retro pixel art doggy?

http://tsgk.captainn.net/index.php?p=advsearch&q=dog&cn=all&type=all&ga=all&sr=all&sy=all

This link has a lot of little dog sprites, maybe making a small pixel art style game would be a good idea. It's cute, there's lot of graphics already out there worth nabbing, you can do pixel art really nicely in paint, and it would take less time. If you use any of those images though, email the creator and tell him what you have planned, perhaps he'd be willing to add some extra frames of animation, if his doggy is getting his own little game then you'd be surprised how helpful artists can be.

If you could make a little screen, maybe 320x200, and have the whole thing go on in that little resolution it would be a sort of desktop toy, a little pet dog for your desktop. Maybe the window itself could be a yard.

It is good to see you developing your ideas more, keep it up.

@Jeku: For your information, this is a real game. I know the IMAGES are made from paint, but that doesn't mean that this game is not on DBC being edited right now.

@Cash Curtis II: I use paint fonts and all of my images are from paint. They are all in the *.bmp extension.

@Van B.: Thanks! There are really good dog sprites on that site! Thanks again!

Jordan, Im not saying this game is fake, Im not saying its real, but theres a tonne of things you could do to stop people from thinking it is fake.

- You could download the free trial of fraps and take a 30 second vid of you playing the game.

- You could release a demo, it doesnt matter if it isnt at the stage of pre-completion, thats what the WIP board is for, incomplete projects.

- Give a snippet of some of the code, not code that loads images or does something outrageously simple, code of something important, though Im sure everyone would understand you not wanting to do this.

The point is though, based on your previous posts of showing nothing, you've gained a reputation (like everyone warned you you would, yet you never listened) of being someone that doesnt post legit things. Now, you have to try and get rid of the rep', and posting things that could be (not saying they are) just drawn entirely in paint and said to be in-game shots, isnt going to do it.

If this is a legit project though, Im happy to see you're finally getting your senses together.

...If it isnt... you might want to concider a different hobby.
