I've recently finished a small, but fast-paced FPS Arena Game. I'd host a server but my router keeps me from playing with people outside of my local connection.

The game has two weapons - Colt .45 and Double Barreled Shotgun. Officers start with a Colt 45. Zombies don't start with anything, but have twice as much health (200). Everyone 'starts' with an empty shotgun, and once you pickup ammo you can begin to use it (zombies press '1' or officers press '2').

I've attached a screenshot.

Man... This one isn't working either. The screenie does look awesome, though.

Do you have to have FPSC to play these? I wouldn't think that you'd have to, considering I got FredP's to run a few times.

The room looks a little bare. And try posting like 3 or 4 screens. Love your Shotgun

It's Jon's shotgun, animated by Walking Dead Productions, forgot to put up the credits - oops. I'll edit the post in a sec.

@Alan - I actaully left it bare cause every time I make it occupied, it seems the game starts running slow (on MP, not so much SP). It was mainly a little test and I'm hoping to play with somone, so I wanted to put it up.

@Silver Shot - You don't need FPSC to play, and I can't see what the problem is.

I'm making some expansions, namely I'm adding a basement and some furniture and such in the rooms, make it a bit more occupied, but if it gets slow I'll take some out. I'm really going for speed with this.

Downloaded it and I will try it as soon as I can.
Thanks.

Edit:Just checked it out.
I had no problem hosting it and it works great.
A nice map for deathmatch.
Nice job on making the zombie work for his ammo a little...there should be a price to be undead.
How did you pull that off?
I agree with you about speed.
Until FPSC gives us more multiplayer options in a deathmatch arena game speed is of top priority.
I can't wait to play this with somebody else so they can kill me...lol.
I enjoy playing deathmatch from time to time.
I just really suck at it.
Good job on this arena game.

It's actually pretty simple - both the Zombie start's with nothing and the Officer starts with a Colt 45. Then I changed the FPE settings for the ammo so a certain part told FPSC it was a weapon rather than ammo - but kept the ammo model, texture, and script. Then, when you pick up ammo, you shotgun becomes 'usable', but really you never had it to start, it just seems that way.

Edit: I'm going to try this with my Dad today (I have a router so I can't do much else ) and see how things seem with more than one person. If it doesn't slow down the game too much, I'm adding a basement. Maybe another weapon too

I have a router.
But I got ticked off and disconnected it after my pc crashed.
I figure if I want to play Halo 2 I will just unhook my pc and hook up my xbox to the net.
Since I don't use a router anymore I have had no problem hosting games.
I am going to have to wait until later to host because I have family coming over and for some reason they expect me to be sociable.
Probably be sometime this evening though.

I just played with my dad (Have a router, so I might not be able to play with you guys ) and found four somewhat serious bugs:

A) Half way through the game you can't pick up the shotgun. Serious problem for people who play as zombies. Though I've never had it happen while I'm a zombie, so it might be related to the colt (I don't play as zombies much)

B) Zombie health isn't properly set - should be 200, the game sets it back to 100....grrr...

C) Losers are frozen when the game ends.

D) If you type alot then the screen lights up and the lightmapping disappears

Though I hope you guys do get together to try it out, i'd like to know what you think. I'm working on some other levels too, including one that takes place in a city like area

I have been on hosting a couple of times an nobody else has been on.
I like the level design. No lag, high speed fragfest.
Loads quick,too.
There is a good chance I will be hosting this game in the afternoon and again in the evening.
Hopefully we can get some more MP maps and we can make this a regular thing.
I wish I could say exactly what time i will be hosting but every day's different...
It only takes a minute to load up so it won't take long to check.

I tried to get on yesterday and this morning, but I guess we crossed paths. And that's the other thing. I don't know who is in what time zone.

Airslide, I sent you an e-mail.

Hmm...my post didn't show up...

You know what's funny? I'm getting more posts here, and I got 24 downloads. And my Doom Fan Game had 1 or 2 diffrent people posting, and it got 818 downloads. And 4,309 views to the thread...

(Don't ask me who all those 818 people are - I didn't realize that many people looked)
