There is a storyline, its Shown through Overlays on the screen from papers on the ground

So im not releasing any info untill the release of the beta 1.0

Nice

I find it interesting how you test your light-maping first, before entities. I always do it after i've placed the entities.

Heres 0.5 of the living room
just gonna add a couple of overlays, maybe get some light to show on the fan, and then call it done

what i dont get is how come dynamic entities take alot more light to light them up?

everything looks great bloodeath, but I noticed something.

It seems that your actual light marker is lower than the light entity. It's a small thing, but changing it can make your level look more real.

try not to do that. People don't like dying, especially without warning.
So either:
1. warn them somehow about the danger ahead, so they can try and search for a weapon before going there
OR
2. make sure they find the weapon before reaching that room

Just a suggestion

Screenies look amazingly life like!

Thank you rolfy for the models, and the compliments, i love the new lighting, it gives it a real nice feel, altho i dont know what im going to do after level 1, if im going to just transfer player to a new spot, like hes fighting for safety, or make him take a sewer route to avoid trouble, i might do the sewer idea, it seems more logicial on what a real person would do

No it's not perfect.!!!!!

It's never a good idea to use a single light to try and lighten up a big area never....

Bloodeath 6 6 6, if you like it it's fine. One person out of many didn't like the screens. I personally like the screens....covers up the tgc pack textures with a pipe on the wall with no geometry(which I persoanly think is just stupid).

He likes to fancy himself a designer and that's fine. But at the end of the day his opinion means absolutely nothing, as dose any of ours. As long as your satisfied, that's all that matters. Your only competing with yourself.....

I agree.
You should make a game you will like.
Then you will have fun playing it.
It would really suck if you made a great game and didn't like playing it.
For the record I like what I have seen so far.

thanks, no i dont care what most people say about it, i post it for critisim, and i like it so far, thats why im still making it. if i wasnt satisfied i would redo it for the 4th time. i did make it brighter in the lobby so dont worry, it was too dark. But level 1 is finished, and level 2 is on the way

I take that personal.Dude Did I say any where this looks like crap no.I said it's too dark. And from the one screenshot one could only see a single lightmap. If you do have a personal issue don't take it out here.Rather refrain from posting some thing sarcastic.

So your calling us morons.???

I fancy giving you a hand upside the head.I don't fancy my self any thing.I'am a hobbyist.

Now back to this game yes looks great if you can't see any thing looks great when every thing is far too dark.Looks geat when your looking at a dark corner that showcases nothing but Air.
