Silent Shade is currently in the beta stages, its a fps game which will include mission and multiplayer modes. In the missions you are in a elite squad of soldiers investigating the destruction of a town and what caused it.

Multiplayer will be the usual, a bunch of people shooting guns at each other/
But whats wrong with that.

Changes:
Here is the third beta
Beta 0.03

In the third beta we added a much more detailed map that feels bigger and more like a proper game map

We changed the hud.

When exiting the game it will close after 5 seconds instead of not cloasing at all.

Minor Bug Fixes

Known Bugs
May in some cases walk through windows.
Broken image link to weapons on hud.
Starting menu non repsonsive to omuse clicking.

Next Beta:
More Weapons
Basic A.I. Targetting systems.
Updated menu control and added in game menu.

Any comments would be good

Try the FPSC model packs for your games. Model packs 9/10 and 6 are good for guns.

You can find lots of models at fps-files and fps-free. You can easily convert them.

Please check out my WWII Media Pack 1 FPSC thread... http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=131014&b=3&p=0

It was a good start, but I would suggest you add some smoothing on the mouse rotation. It was difficult to aim at the targets when a small movement caused the camera to rotate past the target. I had to try and move around to get the aim right.

I allways afraided from a clowns. aww..

I tried out Beta 2, it is pretty nice, good work ^^.

I have these suggestions, sorry if you already are planning these:

* You should make the players point of view move around a bit when walking to reduce the feeling that you are floating.

* The accuracy of the pistol shouldn't be dead-on, shots should scatter a bit.

* Neither my lappy's nor my desktop's resolution was supported (1440 x 900 and 1680 x 1050 respectively).
- I'm not sure if the next issue was because of the resolution, but when I pressed escape to quit, I got the screen thanking me for playing and such, but I couldn't close that screen. I tried escape and clicking and moving the mouse, but couldn't see anything happening, I ended up pressing alt-F4 to quit.

[Edit] In addition, having pressed alt-f4 to escape, the Silent Shade process was still running in memory.

Keep up the good work!

Why is the walking so jerky? The player jumps around in increments while the mouse move was still smooth. It's like playing a game of chess.
