Hi.
I've seen many posts around here asking how to put text on top of sprites, so I thought I'd post my bitmap text box here. It's not done yet, but I hope to have it look like the one you see in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker by the time it's finished.

The edit message window won't let me post code, so I have the source here to download.

These are the current features:

= Done

= Planned

Form Feed Sprite
End of Message Sprite
Positioning Function
Scaling Function
Delay Skipping
Delay Sound
Show/Hide effects
Form Feed Sound
End of Message Sound
Start of Message Sound
Optimization

Hope this helps.

Seems ok. Nice work. I really suggest you add a ,1 at the end of the get image so it is crisper.

Thanks. The 1 flag makes it faster too! I guess I won't have to switch to individual sprites after all.

[edit]

I finished the hide/show effects, and the sounds. It's almost finished.

Sorry for the double post, but the edit prompt locked me out. I tried to post an update in the first post, and the edit prompt says it appears to contain bad language. It doesn't contain bad language, but I removed the update anyway and now it still won't let me edit. Can a mod please unlock this?
