There are three different sizes of spiders:

Large: poisonous and non-poisonous.
Medium: poisonous, non-poisonous and wallcrawler.
Small: non poisonous.
There are three small spiders with different animation timings for left and right and leaping movements, this means you can place quite a few without them all doing the same thing at the same time.

Use the wallcrawlers in long corridors.

There are twenty different textures which can be used on the Large,Medium and wallcrawler spiders. The small have their own texture, which you can convert if you want to.

Wallcrawler and poison scripts by Butter fingers.

Spider attack script by BenjaminA.

Spider soundset by Nickydude.

Many thanks to all for their contribution to this.

Known issues:
The Large and Wallcrawler spiders will sometimes have collision problems with legs passing thru' walls and objects.

There is no way to change the enemy footstep sounds without changing the players as well.
You can turn off the foot sounds in the segment fpe by setting the materialindex to 0 for the floor.
I have included a couple of free silent segments for those who cant do this for themselves. You can bring these into your segment editor to retexture. You could also set some music to cover up the sudden silence when using these segments.

I haven't made a weapon for any of these due to the size of the pack and how some find it difficult install,I have placed a firespot on the large, medium and wallcrawler spiders so those who want to can create their own weapons.

Follow the installation instructions and you should have no problems with these.

rolfy,

You already have an impressive stable of characters made for FPSC, which are unique and impressive to say the least. The gift of your talent, time and generosity is greatly appreciated. Even I, being independantly wealthy and only only slumming it here because of my extreme boredom, could not easily have afforded to buy such things at what would certainly be a healthy fee sold at retail.

But all crap aside..... Thanks.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Dropped 'em in. They're fun to play with.
Although I can't use the K-bar on a wall spider.

@Uthink.
The wall spiders only recieve hits at the pivot point which is located where the spider was on export, this is a side effect of the animations. You cant hit them on the body when they are on the walls which will hopefully freak out the player

Hmmmm...I downloaded this but all it does is create a RAR shortcut, and whenever I try to open it it says

"Windows cannot open this file because it needs to know what program created it."

Bummer, muchly. Great contribution, though.

I've created a soundset for your spiders rolfy, they now squeal when hit and screech when they die. The soundset is attached for anyone to use if they wish, it's in zip format and is 773kb.

1/. Unzip the file
2/. Drag the "spider" folder into:
"C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\FPS Creator\Files\audiobank\voices"
3/. Right click on your spider in your game, right at the bottom of the properties, where it say's 'Soundset', type in "spider" and your spider should now squeal and screech when hit!

rolfy, if you'd like perhaps you could include the soundset in your download? That way people won't miss it if they just download your spiders without looking at the whole thread? Just a though.

Greetings. Just a quick retexture of Luke314pi's Bodybag model, that allows you to place cocooned victims in your level. Three variations are included.

You must own the Horror Accessory Pack http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=89755&b=24 to use this retexture.

Thanks,

Seth Black

Hey Rolfy, I'm having a problem with downloading these. The filefront link is no longer there so I can't download it there. And the new link doesn't work for me. It just says the page can not be found. Could you possibly upload it somewhere else? It's alright if you don't want to though.

Sorry I haven't been on the forums these last couple of days, so I couldn't post thanks.

You know what i'm going to say, but here it goes anyway:
This is so briliant, you've outdone yourself AGAIN! You really should make a commercial pack, as many would by.

Thanks for the spiders rolfy, and thanks for the sounds nickydude.
Thanks, thanks and thanks again.
