This model pack is now up for sale after being toiled on for over 3 months. This being my first ever venture in a commercial pack,
I am pricing it for US$ 14.99 only!

You can watch a video of the whole pack in action : Urban pack video at youtube

For a higher-res video and detailed screenshots, visit www.unleash3d.com.

To check the quality of the pack, you can download 2 free FPSC-ready models from the 'Downloads' section of my site.

I also take this opportunity to launch my new site www.unleash3d.com. All my non-commercial work shall be put up for downloads there time and again.

I thank you all for giving me this opportunity to present my work to you. Needless to say, I shall be available for any help needed in downloading, installing or using this pack.

A special note of thanks to KeithC for his suggestions, advice and guidance throughout the making of this pack.

I can tell everyone that the quality is high in this pack, as I have seen the items up close in-game. The textures will mesh well with FPSC's models; and the auto installer works perfectly, no need to place these in the editor manually. Congratulations on the release, Filya.

Thank you so much for the quality pack filya,I thought you might like to see a couple of your models in my map.
As it is I would have bought your pack for the street signs alone,I had already created my own road and sidewalk segments and have used your street signs and traffic lights to great effect but I will probably end up using it all as I create more areas for my game

Your website works well and I had no problems ordering the pack, your installer works perfectly,I have downloaded the hi-res version for now,and will probably get the low-res next as I am already using 1024x1024 textures for my buildings.
I really like your work filya, and if you release any more packs will be one of the first buy them.
best rolfy.

btw,the scale of these models is spot on.

yes, I did test my site with Firefox and I know the movie doesn't play. Thanks for mentioning it Nickydude.

This was the reason I used youtube as well (till I sort out that issue)

it's funny that even some colors appear different on different browsers (and all this while I thought RGB is a universal color code )

I hate watching videos of good models/segments like these. They make mine look like rubbish. Its embarrasing.
Good work though, seriously. I will probably buy it when my landlady stops pestering me for rent that I can't pay.

Well, everyone was a TGPEG once, and I still am far from a rolfy, Loc, EAI or Jon.
I never posted any of my earlier models here for the same reason

But I did keep in mind the things that made my models look bad compared to some great ones. Just kept working on those.

Thanks for the compliment

-filya

p.s: You need to pay your rent first!! You seriously don't plan to live under my model street lights do you?

Are you accusing him of stealing someone else's work? I saw nothing on that site (which I have visited before) that looks even remotely similar. The next time you want to accuse someone of stealing media, you'd better have solid evidence and point us to the exact location of the media in question; otherwise please keep your comments to yourself.

Accusing someone of stealing another's work, without even a remote example of the crime could be punishable in the future.

Jourdan, other than those models being urban too, I found no other resemblance to my models. In fact they looked more townish than urban!

So I pretty sure they didn't steal anything from me But thank you for keeping a check. Do let me know if anyone else tries to steal my models

edit: thanks Keith.

I think he was just saying "Here's some similar items for free". I'd never taken it as an accusation till I read the last couple post.

BTW,I have stacks of entities in this map, using my own, some from Locrian's School Daze some from Keithc's ww2 pack and your pack and I'm still getting 31-33fps.All this stuff just fits together really well.

The streetlight really lights up nicely with a white light directly under the bulb (set at 150-200), then place another light near the road (at 200-250). I haven't tried getting the individaul green/red/yellow lights to work, but it would probably light up individually, with a light set to a very low setting (then placed right on top of the lens). Colored lights don't seem to do as well though.

whoa...great screenies there rolfy!!! Thanks a lot for these...you know I couldn't have gotten better ones to showcase my pack

And your game...well...its just so...out of this FPSC world

One question though : your buildings, are they made as a whole or separate segments. If segmented, damn, I see at least 12 different segments in each building!!

And for everyone else, thanks so much for buying and/or supporting this pack. I really feel honored

Your welcome filya.
The buildings are complete segments, now that I have had your pack a few day's I have had the chance to look at all of it,many thanks for this pack buddy I dont want to keep sounding off about what great value it is or people will start thinking you pay me to do so.
But I have to say the segments are really cool as well The brick textures sit so nicely inside the levels I am creating without any work on my part to get them in there, this is a testimony to how good your research and work on this pack actually is,well done, I believe this would be useful for creating any urban scenes.
best rolfy.

thought so. So does the collision work well, or you made it so only a few buildings can be entered?

The collision works perfectly.I am only making it so just a few buildings can be entered so I dont have any frame drop tho' with any more entites and segments than I need in scene.I would end up hijacking your thread tho' if I went into anymore detail here about how I intend to get this working.

How do you manage to get collisions working so damn well in FPSC. Those terrains, these huge buildings, caves....I tried making a raised pavement segment for this pack, and I had trouble with collision even there
