I have been helping out a new videogame tournament company and we will be having some gaming Tournaments around the U.S. And I wanted to know what some good tournament games would be. What do you think? Thanks!

Unreal Tournament, BattleField games, Counter-Strike, CnC3 if time isn't an issue. RTS games can draw out as we all know.

Unreal Tournament and I'll be willing to help out the tournaments by accepting any weapons or IG challenge!

RTS games would be excellant, but as Dink said they can drag out for a long time depending on who's playing who. If its me versus my brother, then its over in about 15minutes. I haven't been able to ever get close to beating him, but he's been beating kids in the dorms since the first warcraft was released.

Oh, and never underestimate the fun of a challenging Tetris competition!

You could also do challenges of 1-player games or simple platform games, just base the winner on score or best time of completion.

yeah, but i think UT2004

others:
1. Counterstrike (Source of old one)
2. Day of Defeat Source ( I didn't like the old one)
3. Aliens vs. Predator 2
4. SW Battlefront
5. Age of Mythology (Titans Expansion)
6. Tribes Vengeance
7. (one of my favorite) Starship Troopers (the FPS, not RTS) note: it will need to be a LAN server, because the multiplayer online servers no longer exist.

America's Army is free, and from what i've heard it's sorta of like CS(haven't played CS though, only AA). As previously said, RTS games work well too.

Timesplitters : Future perfect has a very large and fun multiplayer mode. You could easily host a tournament with deathmatches or something like that.

And maybe a fighting game like Tekken

One awesome game that noone seems to have played is Joint Operations. It's from the makers of delta force, and sits in between the massiveness of Battlefield, and the madness of Counterstrike.

If you want a break from FPS, then I'd suggest the Fusion Frenzy games, best 4-player part games on 360 and XBox, perfect for more casual gamers as there's a good mix of popular game styles, like snake and bash-the-buttons-to-the-beat style things. It's kinda like the Chrystal Maze gameshow, if you've ever heard of that.

I was thinking of FF. I heard the 360 one is not as good as the first. We where thinking of some old school games like N64 and stuff. As well as some 360. We don't have any computers yet but I think we will sometime . What about mario kart or something?
