Single and humbuckers available that use neodymium magnets. I wonder what improvements such a strong magnet would have over the standard magnets that are used. (cant recall at the moment what most use now)

I'm thinking about trying to buy one this summer and finally complete a guitar I've been building for like 10 years now.

It sounds quite thin. I wish they would have various genres or styles to demonstrate other than what they've got there.

Would it sound good? I mean, what would be the huge difference. The thing I can't seem to understand is why people get hyped about new pickups. My Duncan Detonators sound just fine.

I aplogise fr tge Abve. I mite hav mshpeled a cuple tings.

Wow. They sound pretty odd, but something makes me think these people aren't incredible musicians, those demo's were clean, for crying out loud! (And they didn't sound that great either, as far as the actual musical score goes.)

Pretty impressive sales pitch, though.

Really? I thought they looked pretty cool...

EDIT:

Wow, I like the 'sonic adjustment' feature!

I thought they looked pretty cool too.

The canon video was cool. I play it sometimes on guitar, though my version is a bit different/easier.

Cleanest sound ever eh? In other words completely lacking in tone.

Not really... While some of the 'tone' is definitely contributed by the pickups, the real tone comes from the strings, and the body.

So, It's just more transparent, which sounds pretty cool. I would imagine it distorts better.

I wouldn't think that you'd get much change in timbre from the body of a solid-body seeing as you'll have little/no resonance. With semi acoustics it'd be different, I'm sure. The gauge of strings and how they're played should effect timbre though.

The pickups have a lot to do with the tone, and thats what I noticed about these pickups, is that the tone is very lacking. Hopefully it doesnt always sound like that, this new technology always interests me.

A denser wood would give more sustain.
