Wow, that was amazing. Give that guy Photoshop CS3 and then see what he can do. And he's obviously only using paint in that one. Nice.

Not really, copying is a lot easier than doing something original.

If you watch the original with all the layers, etc, it's pretty hard to say it's faked.

The reason he did this in M$ Paint is because it definitely earns him a lot more bragging rights than someone doing the exact same thing in Photoshop. There's been a sort of "Paint Revival" lately, people proving that it is definitely a capable program, it just takes a much greater effort to create something in it. I would go so far as to say that a Paint artist is far superior to a Photoshop artist... In one, you're painting a masterpiece with a paintroller, and in the other, the art is being made for you. I'm willing to bet this "medium" will become more and more popular in the next few years as people get bored with software taking control out of their hands. At least until Paint starts using gradient and pattern fills .

Ahh, that's right sorry. I've seen the Mona Lisa one from somewhere else, and was thinking that was the one that was posted . Sorry about that.

You Can Make any drawing you want through back words sketching it;s pretty cool try it

1. Find a good picture
2. Record your self erasing it, but go to the pencil tool once in a while
3. Put it into a editing program
4. Play it backwards and speed it up and little

It looks like you just made the best painting ever!

I saw a video like that. But actually what they did is use photoshop and put the painting on then created a new layer, filled it with white then recorded erasing the white layer to reveal the image. Not reversal done otherwise the mouse movement would look weird.

Looks impressive at first, but you can tell he is just tracing a photo - perhaps using an lcd graphics tablet with the mouse output routed to a second pc, or a tablet with an image projected onto it. Anybody that has ever painted a portrait, or watched someone paint a portrait by hand, will know that you start off with sketchy lines which get erased, redrawn, erased again, adjusted, refined etc.... until the artist is happy with it. This guy doesn't do any of that - nearly every line is perfect first time ... the technique looks the same as someone painting by numbers. He obviously has some talent too - but I don't think the video shows the whole story.
