The game hasn't loaded properly so I'll just post the link to it:

edit: The game was pretty good, I was surprised when those monsters first got me. Wasn't expecting one to jump out screaming at me

lol.

if you want to see something scarier then that, try playing 'till you exit the church, then wait for the eXmortis to invade.

that'll REALLY get you off your seat.

Quite a big bump, i played the second, quite enjoyed it, especially the work that went into the back story, ending was dissappointing though...

I clicked the "Play This Game" Link and bam, immediately shut it off because of the freakishly scary *faded with a zombie and somewhat* black screen I was immediately confronted with. whew.

I remember playing these ages ago... The first one is very good... very clever story well put together... I thought the second one was a mess from start to finish and didn't quite have the magic of the first one and the ending in the second one was awful..

Beautiful background story, extremely well presented, haunted and eerie atmosphere. Monsters themselves not really impressive, but the way they are introduced (rolling clouds, darkness, sudden surges) very well done. Disliked the ending in 2.

Great link, zavix!

That was interesting. Very short, though.

The atmosphere was great, fantastic art direction and story buildup. I figured out the ending plot twist right before it happened though, I suppose that's a lifetime of being jaded by cliche TV. There were too many clues given away in Xavier's book.

The ending was questionable, but considering the atmosphere and plot it fit. I mean, a different ending wouldn't have maintained the intent of the story.

Damn you guys! I want to play, but I'm at work. I'll try it tonight after a visit to the toilet, so I won't make a mess.

right in the middle of it, I love it so far. I love creppy things, the drawings really pull you in and I love the effects. Makes me wanna make a horror game.. anyway...i'll let you know how it is.

the ending cleared a way for a 3rd game.

I really don't know when it'll be released.

Ok, I found that boring and not remotely scarey. Guess these things affect people in different ways.

Yes you missing something.

It wasnt all that great to be honest. The house had a bit of an atmosphere but the last bit was a bit of a stinker.

The game isn't remotely scary. However, it has a very creepy atmosphere. I thought the art was effective when you walked out of the church and the clouds built up.

@FROGGIE! -
There's a hanger on the car and a key fallen through the steps of the church.

@Gaming Colosseum -
You have to solve the sudoku game in the room with the hanging guy to get the combination for the toolbox. It's in the middle of the table.

Personally, sounds hard, light off, the atmosphere certainly scared me. Especially when the phone rang and it was noone, I must\'ve been acting very paranoid after that.

The ending with the spirit world and stuff is terrible - the church and house are fun. That\'s it. Part 1 was fun, but the dead in that game were less impressive (a head in a microwave, lol).

For me, it\'s a true \"mindplaying\" game, they build an atmosphere and grab you when you least expect it. Perfect example of good atmospherebuilding (the newspapers and diary, for example) and horror elements.

Has anyone ever made a decent horror game in DBP? I remember that Randi bird was making that one with the church and the little girl running around it, back in the days of DBC I believe. Very old skool. Might've been DBP. Apart from that, I don't remember seeing any horror games from DBP.

EDIT: to be fair i haven't seen any true survival/horror games coming from this community either, i remember there were those zombie games but if i remember correctly they were FPS games.
