Well, a while ago my 360 I got at launch stopped working. After constantly crashing during minimal use, I got the 3 rings of death... Now about a year or more later, my friend reccomended a way to fix it, and of course, it worked... Well, to celebrate, I painted it gold and purple! I know the edges on the side panel need a bit of work, but it still looks pretty good for 30 minutes and 2 cans of paint! If anyone has the problem, this is how I fixed it: http://thexboxdomain.net/2007/01/15/the-towel-trick-fixes-360s/ It is supposed to only be temporary, but my 360 is running a Rainbow Six game, and thats been going all night. I think the purple would be better if it were darker, it looks lavender to me.

It is darker, the flash with that paint type just makes look lighter.

Your kidding right? - you painted over the LED's, it looks hellish, there's no other word for it.

If you must mod your 360, spend some money to do it, don't just get the revell paint out. I think you should at least put some details onto it, get a bit more creative than giving it a bad 2-tone paint job like some ford escort from the 80's.

I would've suggested a professional job, did post a link to a company that makes custom cases and paint-jobs for £30 on the 360.
do a search for laser-etching.

No offense but thats... really ugly. The colours dont match well, theres no detail (just 2 colours...), and like Jeku said, you painted over the LEDs :/.

Well, if I can't tell the 360 is on by listening, I must be def. Its louder than a hawk! And for the controller LEDs, I can still see the LEDs, albeit not too well, but I never play splitscreen anyway.

Hahaha, well at least someone else said it before me, but yeah it's pretty ugly in the picture. You should have done dark purple and chrome. Would look sexy then.

I would have gotten something like that if I recently got the paint, but I was digging around and found the paint, and a receipt for Oct. 14th, 2004.. The 360 has the 3 rings of death..again, so I might as well paint it again for the funeral!

Every 360, 1 year ago, was still under warranty. Microsoft upgraded everybody's warranty from 3 months to a year for free. If your 360 died a year ago, you could have sent it in for free

I think it's very stylish...Am I missing something or what?

Why do people paint their 360? I mean I don't paint my DVD Player, PS2 or the back of my TV and I'm sure (And hope) nobody else does, so why does the 360 become a fashion icon for the living room, games room or bedroom? I have a couple of stickers on my PC and that's it...I suppose it's the same reason why people turn bottles of Jack Daniels into working computers and install Linux onto their 360's.

That looks sick! Seriously why don't you spend some money and get some faceplates! I would never take a brush to my Wii though! The Polar white is so relaxing!
