Too true, I watch the show - but the new episodes just aren't funny, Matt Groening must have run out of ideas. Of course I'm not sure about the movie, maybe he's just been putting all of his jokes into that instead.

They need to make more Futurama and finish off the Simpsons . The david gervais episode was a travesty in my opinion.

I watch the show when I remember to (which is less and less nowdays), and I plan to see the movie.

Most of my favourites are losing their zing and are going for cheap and easy humour, Simpsons, South Park - even Spongebob - others have other crap features such as replacements - I mean Simon Amstall replacing Mark Lamarr in 'Nevermind the Buzzcocks' is a joke (not a funny one at that, I can't stand Simon Amstall) and look at who replaced Richard Hammond in Brainiac - seriously what the hell were they smoking when the producers were auditioning. I actually find it's difficult to find good humour - it seems cheap laughs from randomness/pointlessness (yes I know I'm random at times) slating people and toilet humour/vulgarity - it's like 'haha Tony Blair walking down the street - Pie in the face', or 'x is so stupid that...' and 'hehe boobies'. And don't get me started on sketch shows like little Britain or The Catherine Tate Show.

Though Simpsons, South Park and Spongebob still have their funny moments, so I still watch them - so I probably will watch the Simpsons movie, I mean I've seen the Spongebob and Southpark movies. (Although they were made whilst the programs were at their prime)

How the hell can we say if the movie is any good when it is not even out until July?? Unless they have bought a dodgy DVD or found it on the net somewhere.

I'll probably go and see it when it comes out.

Make love not warcraft has got to be my favourite episode, its sp disgusting when cartman needs to go to the bathroom.

But back on the show topic, many shows are starting to not be as funny(I cant say that for south park, ill usually burst out laughing at least three times a show) I mean, the new family guy episodes are all bull, except for the bully one, that was the only good one.

I like my sig.

he doesnt write the shows, he isnt a writer on the show, but he has probably been responsible for this a little bit, but not alone, i think that either the good writers must've quit the team or they just got sucky for some reason..

i'm very excited to see the new futurama episodes, i cant wait.. but in the meantime i can still watch american dad, family guy or southpark.. family guy and american dad got a little sucky for like 3 episodes a in row, but i think they're just getting better and better now..

I'll admit some of them are - but the vulgarity of most of them is just unecessary in my opinion and doesn't make me laugh and I think that's what puts some people off and well I think if they have good jokes then the toilet humour can well uh go down the toilet. Like in the World of Warcraft one, what was the point of Cartman's crapping all over his Mum?

Totally, shame the rest of my family don't like it, otherwise I'd get to watch it more often (Because of the times it's on - similar thing with Scrubs )

The best bit in simpsons in the past 5 years or so was that halloween episode in the house when homer wants to kill his family because of having no tv and no beer.

I laughed so hard it was embarrasing.

The swear-jar episode was good too. Shame they haven't shown reruns of that, been a lot of crappy episodes lately...

Agh, you don't have the right sense of humour to like it, I think the episodes released after the movie have been towards the random side and not so funny for their older teen/adult audience - I also felt some parts are rushed too - though they still have funny moments.

Of course a good Patrick quote - from an invitation to a party where the ink is blurred by water:

"Who ever wrote this does not understand the physical limitations of living underwater" *Throws the paper into a log fire*

spungebob is just a pile of seeming dump. add fairly odd parents and you have the 2 most rubbish anamations to make it onto the tv!

FOP's pretty good on a good episode. A lot of the early and more recent ones were too emotional and moral-based to fit with the crazy and zany atmosphere that made up everything but the script. They all end badly. I'll admit that. Every episode ends with "Wow, Timmy", and insert moral here. Then insert random word from the episode. Could do with a little more variety, but not the most rubbish to make it to the TV. You've gotta watch Sonic Underground or Land Before Time to experience that. What a shame they're a certain member of my family's favourites.

Wow that was very bluntly opinionated; just because you don't like it, I'm sure people who do won't appreciate comments like that - at least justify why you don't like it.

its to abstract, the supposed 10 year old from fairly odd parents is about the sise of a newborn! spungebob is phisicly inposable, yes sea spunges exist but thay are not cuboid;s more like a squashed egg shape. and thay dont even have a brain!

square dusent mean anything. 2 dimentinal shapes can only exist as matamatical values, everything has some thickness even if its only afew attoms thick. and it means all sides exactly the same lenth, witch is physicly inposable. even if you could get it to the attom perfect, it still wouldent be square becose of vibrating attoms.

then it has absolutly no desent storyline

basicly all new cartoons, exept for aneme are rubbish for these resens.

learn blender, you will never regret it.

Here in Aus we get the Simpsons all the time, old ones and new ones

On free-to-air, there's an hour and a half every day, and once a week there's a new episode.
On pay TV, every Saturday and Sunday have 3hours of it in the morning, and every day of the week has at least an hour at night (changes sometimes so there's more, othertimes, less).
During the school holidays, Pay TV has the 3 hours of it every morning!

I love it

hessiess: It literally made me laught to read what you posted. It was so ignorant and you couldn't even sound intelligent with all the mistakes in there. So what if his name is squarepants? Who cares if his pants aren't square? My last name is Drake, does that mean I'm a dragon? No. Your statements have no validity whatsoever and I feel dumber for having read your post. And how can you say anime (<- that's how you spell it genius) is the absolute only good kind of animation. How is that more realistic than any other animation? Disregarding the fact of course that most cartoons, guess what, aren't even supposed to be realistic!

Learn to think before you type man. It's a good thing to know.

Despite his ignorance, I wouldn't attack his spelling and grammar - last time I checked he was dislexic; despite not being a fan of how he presents his opinions, I don't think it's appropriate to go straight for his spelling.

Yeah you don't like the realism - fairplay, although it's supposed to be surreal, but not everyone likes that...although Anime isn't exactly realistic, but what they hey - however the 'abstract' you're talking about is the proportions and shapes of characters...They're cartoons...Look at Anime, nobody has eyes that huge it's just physically impossible. You don't like FOP or Spongebob, fair enough not many people do (I'm not a huge fan of FOP myself), but my, you're the first one I've seen not to like them because Timmy is too small and Spongebob's pants aren't literally square.

But because YOU don't like something doesn't make it crap or rubbish, remember that one as you might tick someone off more so next time.

Doesn't matter if he's dyslexic--- there's such a thing as a spell checker which is built right into Firefox by default. You can download Google toolbar for free if you use IE, which has a built in spell checker too. Obviously one or two words here and there is not a big deal, but every single word?

Fairplay, but if you think you have difficulty reading what he types - just head over to the 3D World Mag forums and read some of Alex Kriss's posts, it makes the worst TGC speech seem like the queen's - I'm sure Oolite knows exactly what I mean. At least hess you can understand what Hess says after reading the word 2 or 3 times
