hi guys ive made a basic skybox with one picture going all the way around this is the code


can any one help me in telling me how i can get it so i have a different picture on each side of the cube so i can make it more realistics i got pictures that i can use i just need code thanx

Normally a skybox/skyphere is made and textured in a modelling program and then exported. So you may want to look into that instead

You can't with a DB primitive cube - unless you use a function to 'kludge' it - like the one I posted in Code Snippets.

But, doing that isn't perfect as you can sometimes see the joins between the cube sides which ruins the effect.

Yes, a modelling program is really the best way to go...

of course !!...you could use a sphere....just take a sky image and try this code....you could make the sky object(sphere) in a external editor with no so much polygons and load it as an .x file

thank you theres only one problem when it rotates the bottom of the picture comes up to the top so it looks weird cos the sky is on the floor then.

p.s. what does wrapvalue do and mean ???
