I have been in posession of DarkBASIC Professional for some time now, and I've never found the time to start learning it. I'm afraid that I'm not a good programmer, I lack the knowledge and experience. However, I would like to at least gain something from it, but I don't know where to start. What advice could you professionals offer to someone new to DarkBASIC Professional, and where can I start learning. There is just too many commands for me to handle at the moment, it would help if I had some kind of structure to work from.

The way I started was by following some different tutorials and then try and change a bit in them, and try to use what they thaught me in my own small projects. That way, I kinda got them into my head better, and sometimes got a better understanding of how they worked. Something I still use today if I bump into something new. But I think it's all about personal feelings on how you like to go by. A good place to look for tutorials would be here:

There's also a ton of tutorials on this forum, including this board.

ha, thats great! Well i would start by understanding how programming works (such as "if this variable is over 20, execute program") its pretty much just a programming theory you need to learn, then learn the small details of each programming language (synthax)
