Hey,
I did a search and didn't see anything for this. So what are your favorite TV shows and channels? I like Discovery, National Geographic, History, Military, and Discovery Times. On Discovery I like Man vs Wild, Survivorman, Mythbusters, and Deadliest Catch. On National Geographic I watch Explorer, Final Report, and specials on wars and other issues in the world. Discovery Times also has a bunch of specials, and docudramas that I like, mostly anything war, law enforcement, or crime related. I don't like the black and white WWII footage on History Channel, but I do like some of their shows (like Shootout, which reenacts battles using actors and computer graphics). And of course other specials like the "Gamer Generation" one that just came on Discovery Times.

CSI(original,Spike and CBS).

If games were realistic, we'd have a run away option in FPS games, and RPGs with dead people who stay dead, etc.
Lol.

Prison Break
Mythbuster
How Its Made (poor of late though, damn repeats)
Cooking in the danger zone (don't judge me, at 2 in the morning its rather entertaining)
American Dad (prefer it now to family guy)
South Park (not as funny as it used to be but it has its moments)

I like a lot of BBC shows... Ed vs. Spencer, Graham Norton, Life on Mars (which seemingly isn't airing this season ). Then on HBO I love Entrourage and Flight of the Conchords. I'll watch just about anything on Discovery, National Geographic, or History Channel... especially that show about Dog Fights, Survivorman, and Mythbusters. I love "National Geographic Presents" specials also. Another show I dig is Jack Dee's Lead Balloon, although they don't show it on television here .

Damn it! You beat me to it! Yep, that was the best thing for quite a while. Did you like the Tears of Endearment scene? Heh heh, "something light"....

Currently though I love Rescue Me. Brilliant program. Is about firemen and is very funny. Although mixed in with tragedy.

What could be really good as well is something called Burn Notice. Is about a CIA spy who is sacked and he is finding out why, but in the meantime getting money (when they burnt him they get rid of his money and everything) by doing detective type things. His little tips to the viewer are class.

Oh, and Psych was pretty good too. Bloke who is really good at noticing small details and putting 2+2 together pretends he is a psychic for the police force.

Cheers

LOST
Prison Break
Mythbusters
Weeds
American Chopper
Still Game
The Mighty Boosh
Porridge
Deadliest Catch

There's precious little viewing in that lot these days, looking forward to the new season of Prison Break (YAY!, back in jail you freaks where your supposed to be, breaking out!) and Mighty Boosh is more of a religion for me and is coming back quite soon. Lost ain't on for months yet, and I've no idea what happend to Weeds.

You know I think they could make a pretty decent game based on Deadliest Catch, strategic like, maybe a bit like those hunting simulators. Maybe competing online to make the most money, that would please so many middle-aged casual gamers that it's not even funny.

Hmmm, I thought it was more current TV. Otherwise would make a massive list. Instead I will go for the saviour of horror, the giant amongst TV shows, the epic story that is Darkplace (see avatar). Nothing less is accepted and the sheer scale of the thing is awe inspiring. Not to mention the next-gen special effects, that even today are something to write home about, and not naff at all. Plus it has apes and broccoli in it. Oh yes...

Here is a quote to whet the palette... Padre : "You are the most sensitive man I know... and I know God.... come, embrace the infinite...". Brings a tear to my eye that does....

As Garth (writer, director, actor...) himself said, he doesn't expect much, apart from changing the way you think about life. That it does....

Cheers

Yah that was great hehehe. His character is so emotionally detached. I wasn't crazy about the season finale, but I like the direction the show is heading, as sooner or later we all know that Dexter will be caught.

Apparently the new series will see him attracted to a pyro woman. Could be interesting.

Personally I reckon someone will find out the truth, but will let him carry on secretly. I thought that would happen in the 1st series to tell the truth. As in he only kills serial killers, so what's the harm? Especially if he saves them.

The look on his face when he smacked the ex-husband over the head with a frying pan was class. Sort of a "oops, I spilt the milk" type look

Cheers

Do you think Dexter's girlfriend will care if she finds out what he did to her ex? I had the feeling that she could care less why he's in jail, as long as he is. He was being a prick with the charges he brought on her, etc.

Not initially, but after he started talking to her she started getting a bit worried. Plus don't forget she is a bit jumpy. And she has a kid. She will have to find out exactly what he does and maybe then be ok with it. If she just gets the outline of what he does (kills people in a very serial killer kind of way) then will probably send her straight to the police. Although the whole program is all about him managing to avoid this. Loved that Jesus moment too.

Here-here! G4 should be a channel devoted to gaming, NOT nerding. I'm not sure if "nerding" is a word but if not I just invented it. Anyway, I stopped watching the very second they merged with Tech TV because I could foresee where it was headed... straight into the toilet. They took an intelligent channel for gamers and by gamers and turned it into a channel for nerds. Star Trek and Man Show? Huh? Just because someone loves or even plays games doesn't make them a nerd. Heck, Jeku works in the mainstream industry, and he eerily looks like Matt Damon! Most of us don't have and have never owned a pocket protector (or so I assume). It's a very disturbing turn they've made.

Sort of like MTV, who stopped showing Music sometime back in the 1990's. Now they're just TTV... Television Television. Or maybe RTV, Reality Television. But since 99.9999% of their programming has nothing to do with music whatsoever, I demand they change their name at once .

Date movie?.... Really? I love all those type of movies but that one really sucked badly. Worst of all of them. By a long way. What made you want to list that rather than, say, Scary Movie, or even better Airplane, Hot Shots, Top secret, Every Other Comedy Film Ever? Did you just list your TV Guide?

DB User, Pumpkinhead, it's a horror movie from the 80's I think you'd love, it's actually my favorite horror movie.

Date Movie sucked so bad I wanted to hurt myself after watching it.
