atm I'm really out on what is "best of show" really
what I mean is, there's not really been anything new.. there were a couple of new announcements, but nothing that's made me go "wow" yet.
that said i'm about a day behind. was suppose to fly out yesterday only in the end didn't feel up to 2 long-haul flights less than a day apart; especially given I'd already done that on the weekend.
Mass Effect is certainly looking better now, CoD4 looks quite promising; and must say with the exception of the whole weird control system being reported, Assasins Creed looks like some good function. The whole "Free Running" aspect in particular, something no other game really has. Not sure how well that'll work in reality though.
Some interesting announcements, like MGS4 is no longer a true PS3 exclusive as there will be a delayed release XBox 360 version. There's still a rumour about the same happening with Final Fantasy XIII. As well as despite Square-Enix denying it a few years back, there is going to be another FFVII title. (only based on the Advent Children film rather than the original game)
LittleBigWorld looks good, only same old trailer shown as from PS3 launch. A few games have not just moved to multi-platform from PS3 but actually moved from the console entirely.
The new game Lost Quest (from the FF creator Sakawichi(sp?)) definately looks like an awesome new 360 exclusive.
Halo 3 is definately gearing up for launchtime, with a cool new trailer; but now we've gotta wait for the damn thing. On the plus side there's about 28 guarenteed titles for the 360 between now and chrismas which is quite awesome.
Splinter Cell Conviction unfortunately looks too far removed from the rest of the series.. too Borne Identity or The Protector for my liking. Unfortunately I think that whole style of game is going to be big next year (Assasins Creed for example is similar only set in the past).
As I said, still yet to see anything that really grabs me. Although some of the Nintendo news was quite interesting.
