Hello community,

I would like to ask a question. How do you record sound that comes from your computer. If I record it with my normal mic, there will propably be sounds in the background that I don't want, and the sound quality isn't very good either. Is there any program, or way to set up my computer's microphone settings so that it records my computer's sound?

Thanks,
JohannesM

Try Audio record wizard 3. The demo allows up to 3 minute slices and doesn't have any time limit. It's what i use to record my uber awesome guitar playing.

well, i dont know if the audio record wizard 3 can do this or not, but you just "record from speakers" so that you dont need a mic. some programs do this, but im not sure which...

Audio record wizard 3 wasent capable of recording what you hear from your speakers.

if you want to record the sound that your comp is making, just put the mike inside the case. if you want to record from the speakers just use a minijak--minijak leed between the sound input and the sound output. may also recwire a splitter to get sound from the speakers at the same time

learn blender, you will never regret it.

Yes it is, you need to change the "recording device" until you see the oscilloscope rumbling about. It works for me anyway.

You can also go to your control panel, and then find the "Sounds and audio devices". From the "Volume" tab and then under "Device Volume" click the "Advanced" button. If you don't see the "Mono Mix" or "Stero Mix" in that sound panel, then goto options -> Properties and then from there choose the radio button "recording" and see if "Mono Mix" and "Stereo Mix" is checked. Then click OK. You will now be in the recording control window, from there choose either Mono Mix or Stereo Mix. One of those will be able to record the sound from your speakers. Works for me.

I have this option, but I don´t know if it´s a special feature for my soundcard(soundblaster audigy 2 zs).
It can be activated in "options" -> "properties".

I tried stereo mix and it diddn't work. And for some reason I can't get Mono mix. It's not in the check box place.

Audacity will record straight from the system. Say if you are playing a CD, or listening to audio on the WEB, Audacity will record straight from that, and has many options to work with the sounds as well.

Googe Audacity, it's free.

Best.

I'm sorry, my answers are limited. You must ask the right question.

Use the drop down select box around the top center of the program. I forget which one to select, but you'll figure it out. What's available in the box is system dependant, I think.

best.
