In your opinion, what was the worst, corniest, or funniest duet you've ever seen? I'm going with Elton John and Axl Rose (joined by the surviving members of Queen) (here's a video from You Tube) when they did Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody together in the early 1990's for that Freddy Mercury AIDS Benefit. I mean really, did Axl Rose find the right key even once while singing? hehe I dunno, let me know who the worst duet is, in your opinion. If you can find video, post it

Erm? I thought it was great. Axl Rose wasn't out of tune at all either.

You don't think he was out of tune? Right after the explosions when he "spins" out onto the stage and starts in with the line "so you think you can stone me and spit in my eye," that whole line was off-key. The only part of it I thought he got right was the ending really, when he's arm-in-arm with Elton John and they go "anywhere the wind blows." If he was in tune throughout that song (well, his portion of it), then I've been off-key my entire life, lol.

He was a tiny bit in places, but that happens when you're jumping around like he was.

The start of the line may be (it's hard to tell), but the rest of it was fine.

Good point, never thought about his leaping all over the stage. Still, it's an odd match... Elton John pairing up with Axl Rose?

Where was this filmed, anyway? For years I thought they were in the old Wembley, but in one frame of the video I thought I saw what looked like the Capital Dome in Washington DC.

Yeah, I agree that they don't quite fit together very well. Axl has a 'unique' voice, although he can sing pretty well.

No idea.

Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood. Not for their singing, but for their hosting of The Brits.

Half of it is axl rose jumping around and the other half is probably lack of a decent monitor. Also live shows have all kinds of reverberation and the doppler effect plays a part as well.

I didn't like that video. Not a fan of elton john and I don't think he did the ol' queen song justice. I liked Axl's part more. He sounded like he actually wanted to sing the song, unlike elton who made me feel like he just didn't get into the song enough.
The ending where the two song together didn't mesh over too well.

I was going to watch that on BBC America but a bunch of people told me not to bother; that they were sort of lame this year. Maybe it's because of the hosts, hehe.

Fox 'n' Fleetwood did it in 1989, they were the face of the new Brits.

For some bizarre reason, someone thought it would be good to put a 5 foot woman with a 6 foot 6 bloke. It fell apart immediately when they stood at the wrong microphones

This is them with the correct mics...

LOL oh man, priceless! I'd love to see them at the wrong mics We've only had the Brits since 1995-ish (BBC America is really, really slow), now I need to hunt all over the place to see this, hehe.

We've already had an Elton John duet, so I'll throw in another, Elton John and Pavorotti, love Pavorotti, can't stand Elton John, hence I make a lot of jokes about him.

Please, from that same concert, I had gotten it on ppv, Liza minelli and (I forget the other person) doing "We are the Champions" was one of the worst things I have ever heard in my life. As for normal duets, "Picture" by Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow, their voices are fine but the song goes nowhere.
