Welcome to the DB section of the forums

1. Well thats based on personal preference, there are a few World builders being made / have been in DB (Check out program announcements or WIP). It also depends on what you want to make, landscapes, buildings, complex structures etc. Also, although 3d world studio (or cartography shop - which is older and cheaper) is not free, it is very useful and I would definitely reccomend it.

3. There are some excellent example screenshots in the nVidia compo board - Spiders and Pump(?) had some great water effects. Altough I think they may have required the use of a dll or some sort of plugin.

4. The forums crowded with great games!

I'll just name a few:

Final Exodus
Mike Inel's Entry (Tower game)
Hexaxis XXI (originally called Die Evil 1?)
Geisha House

1. cant do it it needs to be .x, .3DS, .DBO to load into DBP.

2. Check out Sparky's collision dll. Its free and very good.

3. I like 3d World Studio better.

1. What crazy programmer said.

2. Search, Sparky's Collision is awesome though

3. It's all a matter of personal opinion. I prefer the ease of 3DWS though.

CP, you need to do "sync on" at the start of your program so you can sync it like you do during the loop.

That's what he meant . MM is massive multiplayer, O is online, and many newcomers think that their first project should be an MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Roleplaying Game).

For sure, my first project was Crysis

No, this is my first "bigger" game, so I won`t start to create another mmorpg.

(and i find that MMORPGS suck)

No they don't! Well, they do if you have to pay per month (yay guild wars!)

Anyway I believe that most of your questions have been answered. Anyway, just have a look around the Program Announcements board as well as the Work In Progress board for some good games made with DBPro and the like.
