What's the cheapest way of doing this? The cheapest I've found is a composite>VGA convertor box, but that's £60! A bit of a rip off for something that cost maybe £5 to build. Is there a Wii to VGA cable? I seem to be missing the VGA port that Nintendo promised two years before launch.

Since the other one was scaring you guys so much...

You'll probably need a convertor box unless your video card or monitor can trasmit/recieve component signals. In which case you can pick up a cable for cheap. Just search google for "VGA to component cable". Although I don't know if they make Female to Male, only Male to Male cables. So you'll have to go through a component switch box or something.

Yes, some of my friends do that, you just need a special cable as far as I know.
Edit: Yup, http://media.teamxbox.com/xbox-hardware/ss/40/1133487765.jpg
