Recently at the park they put this new hammock thing, but it's not made of net or cloth, it's made of some really hard links. I was just lying on it, and my friends started swinging me side to side really high. When I was really high up in the air, my right arm went out, and when I was going down, my hand hit the ground, and the side of the hammock hit me really hard on the back of the elbow, bending it out backwards, and dislocating it. The X-Rays were pretty scary, it was really far out.

Here I am now with a cast on my arm, and it hurts Took me ages to type this, lol.

It was fun in hospital though.. They couldn't sedate me, so they had to keep pumping me with Whiskey, Morphene, Nos, etc

I was so out of it. It was great Apparently I was talking crap about E.T. and stuff... I frankly dont remember though.

Once I split my lip, fell down a man hole, and was losing blood so fast 6 people had to hold me down and they stitched it up without anasthetic

When I was run over by a truck, and was out of it for a couple of days, I was apparently saying my teachers were vampires and after my blood

I got quite a few scars and noone will give me a job coz of it im sure, I've had a lot of bad luck, must have done something realy evil in a past life

aww damn :/ many moons ago i took judo classes and got thrown from one side of a hall to the other and broke my arm, its strange that it dosen't hurt when you break or dislocate something untill about 1 or 2 minutes after it happens :/ i had fun in that 1-2 minutes swinging my arm around and around and touching my alebow with my hand.

Then the pain came.

then i decided it was not funny anymore :/

Lets make a thread about all the stuff we have broken, dislocated or had

PROBED.

I once fell off a swing.

Well it was worse than that it was soooo many years ago. i was about 6 and me and my friend were at the playground with his dad.
He was pushing us really high and stuff and he was strong so we were nearly doing a 360 around the swing set. And one second I had and Itch so I only held on with one arm for a second to solve the problem. . The next second his dad pushed me and I launched about 7 feet away from the swing set and I was pretty high up(it seemed that way anyways) and I laded face first into the ground and slid a across the floor and then I kinda blacked out. . I woke like a couple seconds later and boy it hurt

We all want to be awesome, but does awesome want to be us?

Dropped a plate on my toe. It don't sound much but it excutiatingly painful as it swells up and slowly tears the nail from the flesh

@Zotoaster:

Bad luck mate, hehe. I hope it'll get better soon

The worst thing I've tried and still have is this wide open wound from an operation I had last year(yep, last year). Why I had the operation doesn't really matter, but I think it was around September, December last year I had the first operation. They had to leave the wound open and let it grow together itself(it's big). Months went where I went in and out of the hospital for regular checks every single month only to be told about a half a year later that they had to perform a second operation because the wound wasn't looking too good. That was about 2 months ago. And here I am, still sitting with the wound, and it's still wide open. It has disabled me for being able to do pretty much regular stuff. While I still can do some sports(still have to be carefull though), I have to clean it 3 times a day(and that is really every single day). And that really kinda prevents me from being out for very long, unless of course I'm with friends in my own house, where I have the stuff to clean it. But it really does get in the way. I've been cleaning this wound 3 times every single day for about 11 months now... I'm starting to get pretty tired of it

I have no idea how long exactly it'll be before it's all good again.

Worst thing thats happened to me is having my left hand partially impaled, I fell out of a friends tree house when i was nine and hit the ground head first, next thing i know there's a stick sticking through the bit of flesh below my knuckle...Hurt like hell, didn't need the hospital though, just took it out and bandaged up the wound, which now constists of two scars, bizzarly, only on one side of my hand.

Worst injury I have ever had...

It would have to be the time I slammed the door on my finger. It was a pretty heavy door, and man it caught my finger pretty good. I shattered some of the bone in my finger tip, almost ripped my nail off. Finger will never look the same again. Though, compared to some of these injuries you guys are listing, I'm pretty lucky.

One time, I leaned back and fell, gashing my head on a cuboard door. Had to go to the hospital. Course, my mum came home and saw blood all over the kitchen, and my dad and I weren't there. Now I have a harry potter-esqe scar.

Hehe. I had to go to hospital. I also have a bit of skull still bumped out on where it hit. And blood wasn't that bad but as it was so swollen my head started to bleed but luckly the good old ice pack made the swelling calm off so it stopped bleeding but I got to hospital. Radiation made me retardedlol

Well, actually, I was a young kid, around 4 years old.

I was running and hitting the balloon up in the air over and over, then while i was running i looked at my mom cuz she said be careful, then i turned around, there was the balloon, I stepped on it, panicked a bit, ended up head first into the corner of a wall

Hey, don't playa hate. I was 4 years old.

The worst I ever had was when I was about 10, and I was jumping on an old matress bare foot. Unfortunately, after a very large bounce a spring popped through the material, and when I landed it went through the bottom of my big toe, and out through the nail I've never broken/fractured/dislocated anything (and I hope I never will!) so I don't know how much that hurts...

I was swimming off the coast of Vancouver when I was young and had a shark bite through four of my fingers. I was freaking out because my fingers were hanging off my hand and blood was squirting out--- sort of like those Monty Python videos. The doctors reattached them and now you can't even tell

Then I woke up in my bed in a cold sweat and realized it was all a dream.

I once pulled off a band-aid...

Hey! The band-aid was one of those big-A ones, the ones that you put on your knee an' they wrap around. It wouldn't come off. I ended up opening the scab even more, and blodd was gushing out. I had to put it back on while my mom went to 'Longs Drug Store' to get some bandages. OW! On the plus side, I got to miss the day of school. Ah...7th grade memories...

I had a freaky injury once... wasn't too serious.

I had this itch on my arm, I went to scratch it. There was the tiniest of tiny scabs where I was scratching. No clue how it even got there, this thing was smaller than a pixel. anyhow, I scratched it off. Blood started literally gushing out of this tiny little hole. I probably could have bled to the point of becoming faint or worse had I not been able to stop it. luckily it was so small it was easy to put pressure on to keep it from bleeding and it healed fast, otherwise I may have been screwed I have no idea how the scab got there without having a wound that would bleed that much in the first place.

This thread reminds me of that scene in Jaws when they are sat around on the boat trying to out do each other with their scar stories

Jaws...haha what a good old movie.

When I was five I fractured my big toe by dropping a sixteen pound ball on it, I've torn open my skin a number of times on my bike and here comes the funniest one ever.

Friend of mine and I found a thrown out ps1 controller so we figured we'd drag it along the road on our bikes. It was skidding along in front of me and we went around a turn and I had to swerve to miss a car by pedaling ahead and the darn thing got caught in my spokes..here it comes. I skidded sideways for about 10ft. and then was pinned under my bike, got up said "damn..that f***ing hurt!" and we went to get some soda. Adreanaline rocks man.

Heh one of my buddies had a terrible injury. He was running out of the door in a hurry and somehow managed to catch his... er... thing on the door. He thought he'd only hit himself in the jewels until he was driving home and noticed a pool of blood... long story short he ended up having to get 8 stitches. Ouch.

haha I got a in a fight in sixth grade with a seventh grader. He was a pretty big guy and lets say that i wasn't, and i ended up with a spiral fracture in my left arm(almost cut a nerve which would have been bad.) It's mostly ok now though luckily, and now i've got this cool scar from surgery.

A more recent injury but way less serious happened last year when i was playing football. Me and a guy were going up for a header but he had jumped before I had. He slammed into my upper body and i fell backwards hitting my head on the ground and then he fell on top of me. I was a little woozy after that but i got back in and finished the game. We even won too which was pretty cool.

I'm happy (and relieved) to say that I don't think I've ever gone to the hospital or emergancy room because of a serious injury...in fact the most that's ever happened to me was probably either that I got my finger caught in a door, or the time when I got some barbed wire momentarily embedded into my arm after I ran into a fence in the dark.
