I'm going to try to put some horror sound bites together, just for practice, as and when I have time. Here's one for you to try out (I'll be giving these away free )

Woman + Monster
Woman shouting "Don't you dare touch me!", monster growl, weird talking, glass breaking, sickening thud.

I might do requests, but I won't promise anything. Enjoy.

Thanks.

@OLEG: Thanks These sound bites are really for background sounds, sounds that are out of sight from the player, like behind a locked door, or in a vent shaft for example.

"Oh yes , how did you made that ? i hope you didn't ..."

Not sure I'm following you here, are you asking did I make the actual sound bite? Then yes, it's a combination of 5 samples.

@Xplosys: Yes, it is but I thought I'd share the actual sound bites that I make.

Speaking of which, here's another:

GrowlThump
A monster growl with heavy footsteps fading into the distance.

ROFL!!!

Yeah Nickydude, I know you're giving us those sounds now. The're great! Thanks a bunch.

I can't get that picture out of my head.... Nickydude attacking some poor old lady to get a recording for his game. Realistic as hell though! LOL

Best.

I have over 8Gb of samples and I use Audacity to put them together. Here's another (attached):

Stormy Night
Wind, rain, thunder, wolf howl.

Does anyone have any requests? I might as well have a go. Note: I don't do voice overs, the voices in the sound bites are ones I already have, I didn't go out and chase some poor old lady.

Some horror themed sounds could be, a scream on its own to be played in a sound zone. Maybe some creepy children wispering. A few general ambience horror sounds.

I remember, eons ago, playing "Heritic" in the dark. For those who aren't familiar with it, it's very similar to the original Doom in graphics.

Anyway, there was this audio of unintelligible whispers that was quite scary. LOL

Something like that would be good.

You need to think 'outside' the box, just because it sounds like something, doesn't mean it started like that.

Here's a little secret Stoopid, but don't tell anyone. The Monster + Door? It's actually the sound of a cash register and a car backfiring (and a monster growl I have) but the pitch has been slowed right down. )
