You can turn off media server in the network settings. Or if you still want to use the media server from your own computer, you'll probably have to mess around with your router (if you have one).

Can't disable it at the moment, but it is weird that you have someone who doesn't have WEP on their WiFi. I had to manually type in my WEP and set it's mode on my Wii, 360 and PS3.

You can set computers to be hidden from your network though (if you connect to him, he also can use your PS3 to connect to your network.. it's about as secure as using sugar cubes as bank safe material)

So you might want to go into your media settings and turn on the WEP protection.
