Im taking a programming class at my high school, and darkbasic was in the curriculum, and I wanted to try it out at home.
I installed the demo, but when I run it, there is a left portion of my screen blank and everything is scooted off to the right side, so I cant see it. Can someone please help me?

My monitor resolution is 1440 by 900

Could you post a screenshot of what you're monitor is displaying when you run DB?

You might try lowering your screen resolution - DB usually resets it to 640x480 while it runs. I use 1024x768, and that hasn't given me any problems. I'm not really sure if this would do any good, though.

You might want to think about abandoning DB's default code editor and downloading DarkEDIT - it's a free code editor specifically designed for DB. All you have to do is tell it where your DB exe file is located, and start typing code as normal.

You can download it here:

Hope this helps.

In future, please name the tpic corectly; "Screen off the side" would be fine, even "Screen error". If someone has the same problem as you, they will probably search for "Screen problems" or something of that nature, not "DarkBASIC help". Just giving you a tip.
By the way, I'm pretty sure other people have had this problem. Have a search.

Wow... I sound really obnoxious in that post. Sorry.

I think this might have happened to me when I had the demo... although you weren't specific enough on explaining the problem... so I'm not sure.

Cool
All I got was Delphi, no choice just Delphi

I would highly recommend the DarkEDIT editor especially as you are doing this for school. It is in the windows environment so just makes life easier.

In programming, nothing exists
