To be pretty honest that looks like a box with a image stuck on. I like your ps2 model best.

It is a box, isn't that what your freezer is? and for the image thing, yeah I UV mapped it with the image. But thanks about the comment on the ps2 model.

Hi - thanks for the model! I am just starting out - creating with my kid who is mad on computers. How do I go about creating models etc - X files, Textures etc? Do I need any aditional software - if so what do you recommend??

Regards

Yes you do need additional software. I would suggest anim8tor, it is free, easy to use and the have some good tutorials on there site link: http://www.anim8or.com/. Then you will need to learn to UV map, you can do that in anim8tor with pictures like I did on this model. But if you want to draw the texture yourself on a image program, you will need to use a UV mapper, link: http://www.uvmapper.com/. UV mapper is free to. then download paint.net to texture, link: http://www.getpaint.net/. after you have finished your model and texture export it as .x, you will need a free converter, I don't have a link. the use entity maker found on the fpscreator.com files page to put it in fps creator. link: http://www.fpscreator.com/downloads.html. All this software is free, hope you have fun learning. This is my ninth month modeling.

Whayyy Heyyy, I got a model, textured it, .x'd it and got it into FPSC!!!!!!!

RESULT.

Couldn`t get UVMAPPER to export as .X so used LithUnwrap instead (Got this app via the Tutorial Page on the forum).

For other newbie's the Tutorial Pages on this forum are helpful. Took a few attempts to follow the App usages but got there in the end:

i used - Anim8or; LithUnwrap, GetPaint and the Entity Generator from X Files App from the FPS main site.

Hopefully now I have got the basics I will get some decent stuff done!
