Yes, I noticed it instantly and proceeded to spend an hour fixing it. Turns out it's easy to fix. It was introduced in version 37 and is caused by the new use of DirectWrite/ClearType rendering system. It's crappy and makes the text weirdly spaced, thin, small and blurry. I sincerely hope Google doesn't make it a requirement.
To fix:
1). Go to
chrome://flags/#disable-direct-write
2). At the top of your screen, highlighted in yellow, is an option to disable DirectWrite. Enable to this option.
3). Restart Chrome.
