pfft! ya'll are crazy if you don't recognise the Angels of Death (blood angels and dark angels to those newbies, and uneducated in the ways of 40k) are the hardest bunch of SoBs in the universe.
shoot, they go hunting for tyranids in floating piles of garbage for kicks; and those who go mad from battle don't leave the army or get shot like the other armies. they get their armour painted black and get sent back in to battle to focus that can'o'crazy on the enemy until they fall!
and in-case you hadn't guessed the blood angels are my army of choice. nope they don't have the best tech, they're not the strongest either... but damn they make up for it in crazy. what other army would rather than putting a bigger long-range weapon on a slow moving dreadnought, fit two powerfists to it so it can rip things apart with it's "bare hands" so to speak. man gotta give 'em props.
can't say i've really played the actual game mind. got sick and tired of the rules changing everything year; then when the new codex came out with the "new and improved wh40k" battle system in think it was 2001; just totally lost interest in the battling part of it. Necrons ruined the game totally as well, although the Tau added a nice element; the Necrons were just far too powerful especially considering the point cost difference. Absolutely no balance in the gameplay. It was the same when warp powers were first introduced with dark millennium.. too them almost 6years to get them right. In the mean time space wolves and eldar just owned, on no other merit than their psyches.
i find collecting armies, and painting them quite relaxing. although it has becoming more and more expensive in recent years.. i mean when the models were ALL lead, then fair enough; but they moved to plastic and somehow the costs increased? i'm sure thats' what has pushed many of the old rogue trader players (like myself) mostly if not completely out.
