They make a guitar out of fish??? I played for awhile to fill in when we had 3 guitarists no bass player. Its fun but you might as well be plucking logs with how darn thick the strings are, near about broke my thumb slapping.

I can play bass on a guitar if that count.

And what's wrong with playing bass with a plectrum instead of your thumb? Everyone keeps telling us that our bassist "can't play" because he doesn't use his thumb.

I allways afraided from a clowns. aww..

Guitars intrigued me, but I know I wouldn't learn it, I'm too add. I mean, as soon I start anything I stop(except programming, I don't know why, it just is).

Your about to get pwned.

Ive been playing bass since 1994, I have a somewhat dated Ibanez SGR from about that year. In 2001 the band I was in started doing shows so I invested in a good stage head & cabinet (Gallien Krueger 700RB head with a half stack cabinet 15" main + 50 watt bi-channel horn) That setup had the gk Speakon system as well When I practice in my house I cant put it above 3 or the neighborhood can hear/feel it. I have been playing Drums and Guitar for alot longer than bass tho. Im old

You need a video capture device to record audio?

I don't play bass, but if I did it'd probably be double bass as I love the sound of it.

Some bass players plays with many fingers so that they can play those really fast and cool stuff easily. I had this music teacher once who played a really cool bass solo for a Christmas song we sang in school (a long time ago). He had to put tape on his fingers after a while.

I like it when you can really hear the bass in songs, and when it does more then just fill out the sound. The bass in many songs are sadly just boring.

Oh, and I don't play myself. Only in Guitar Hero (where you can play bass on a lot of songs)

Nothing, but the sound its different, also normally bass players play with their fingers and only use the thumb for "Slapping".

I'm still trying to get to grips with the slap technique. I can do the pulls, but not the Thumbs...
