I want this on my ps2 NOW! I LOVES MY NOSTALGIA!

Anyways..this guy is one of the best gutiar hero modders out there and I just wanted to share the song, it takes a great song and makes it interactive, one of the selling points of gh to me.

Customs are really cool. Too bad these songs do not have separate guitar tracks. I'm looking forward to where Custom Hero is going. Can you say fully supported (easy to expert + cooperative) legal master tracks with high quality charts available for free download?

I've been playing the GH3 demo on the 360 (torrent download as an ISO but not requiring a modded xbox YAY!). One thing that occurred right away is that there's a lot more genuine artist tracks this time - I mean there's only 5 tracks with the demo, but Even Flow (Pearl Jam) is the real deal, and so is The Metal (Tenacious D).

One feature that is mentioned and I'm looking forward to is a co-op campaign mode - probably to counter Rock Band's multiplayer features, it's not quite a set of drums, but a nice touch I thought.

We're going down... in a spiral to the ground...

Yeah, Guitar Hero is getting quite big around the world and with Activision backing it up they can afford more master tracks. Sex Pistols (not a fan but they have become famous lately because of this) had a reunion to re-record 2 songs for exclusive for GH3. Slash (and I think 2 other famous guitarists) are now playable in the game, after you beat them. Slash is also on the cover. This is similar to the Tony Hawk games, also by Neversoft. And yeah, there are a lot of master tracks and re-recordings in GH3 and that will only increase in the future (as much as possible, some artists are dead).

A lot of bands want to be in the game because it's making them more known and it sells more records. It's a well known fact that Guitar Hero have made a lot of people listen to music they would otherwise never had come in contact with. The problem is that the easier your song is the more exposure it will get while the guitarists prefer to add in a new solo just to end up in the later tiers, they want to be recognized for their skills

Sex Pistols have become famous because of Guitar Hero? I think that's pushing it a bit far...

What I mean is that lately their reunion in Guitar Hero 3 is quite well known, at least among Sex Pistol and Guitar Hero fans

so not hugely well known then...

Nah sounds like a good game but if I could put in the effort to get good at something, I'd still rather do it on the guitar. Guess I'm just too lazy for either.

Well, you don't need to become really good at it, it's a game, you play it for fun. You do play games?

Not really. I'm not a big fan of games. Yet I try and make them. Maybe that's why I suck so bad :p

I go through small stages of liking games, but rarely liking them enough to actually finish them. The only games I think I've ever finished are THUG, Neverwinter Nights (oh no wait, I got stuck at the end, that was really annoying), Super Mario Sunshine and The Zoombinis.

I'm gonna get it for the wii, I liked the second one a lot, first one needed some work but so far this one looks pretty good, makes ya feel like a rockstar.

I have a friend who rarely watches any movies (except for the big well known ones) and have no education for it and still wants to write a script and direct a movie of his own. He's a good camera man and perhaps he will put together a movie some day but I doubt it will be a crowd pleaser.

The nice part about Guitar Hero is how easy it is to pick up and have fun with. It's also not game over once you get stuck, you can still play as much as you want on other songs or other difficulties. And you never have to start from the beginning. It's quite a relaxed approach. Not to forget that it's a great party game with 2 guitars

Zombie:
The downside of the PS2 version is of course the lack of downloads. I read an interview where they talked about releasing more packs (like Rocks the 80s) for PS2 as that's an audience that isn't used to paying for downloads. They also mentioned that a Guitar Hero game would probably be the last game coming out on PS2 (Sony are still selling over 200'000 of them per month...). Anyway, if I had a 360 or PS3 I would definitely get GH3 for one of them simply due to the amazing graphics.

We'll be getting GH3 for Christmas on the Wii. We were going to get Super Smash Brothers Brawl as well but that's been delayed

I'll probably be asking for points cards from my family members to get some more virtual console games.

Rock Band will blow GH3 out of the water. Bass, guitar, drums, and a mic are included in the package.

Not exactly. Yes, for a higher price you get more instruments. They also have an interesting career mode where you try to get more and more fans and money so you can tour the world.

The downside of more instruments is that songs are not selected especially for guitars. For Guitar Hero fans Rock Band may not be a very hot title. The games are similar but they are still very different.

@DA: I'm not trying to impugne the quality of GH. I would never do that in one of your threads, it'd be like insulting your family but yeah it does sound like a good game, I just get bored easily and don't spend that much time on games at the moment 'cos I don't have my own computer and my sisters are always on PLAYING THE************** SIMS!!! (another thing that's putting me off games)

I wasn't talking about quality of GH. I'm comparing your interest in making games and a lack of interest in playing them with my friends interest in making movies and a lack of interest in watching them. I just don't see how that could be a good combination

And it's not my thread, Zombie started it

Don't worry it's not. I suck at this

I do like playing them I'm just not any good at them and I can rarely find the motivation to push through generally being rubbish and actually completing the game. I don't think I expressed that that well.
