Infinitely long if you form a circle.

But the real question is

"whats the circumference of a circle?"

Yes I know. You smelly fool, I was joking.

And besides, you can't calculate the circumference without initially knowing the radius.

So Meh!

It's actually very short, it's just a piece of a string. So it's like a stub.

Phaelax:
You need 1 piece (byte) to define the length of the string, thus you can only have 255 characters in a (DBP) string

piece of string is 15 characters long including spaces and not including the question mark at the end of your sentence. By your wording of the question my answer makes sense

It doesn't. He said 'peice of string'. Why on Earth are you discussing 'piece of string'?

Length of string = number of atoms in total divided by the number of atoms in a 1cm long section, and the answer you get is in cm

Agreed. Anyone can see those results. Seriously though the question cannot be answered at all with the information given.

The main thing left out that keeps you from even theoretically guessing is: What kind of string is it? There are way too many definitions for the word "string" in all the areas of knowledge.

As long as it's my string I don't care. It's all about girth anyway apparently... Good word that (almost as good as girdle and gusset)... Ooh, the beer delivery girl just arrived...
