Thanks for the download Keith!

Are you happy with Paint Shop Pro X?
I haven't used it since 1998. I was very pleased with Paint Shop Pro 4 indeed

Paint Shop Pro X is very nice; there is a new learning mechanism that you can use without exiting the program. The look has been given an update, though it's obviously not as robust as Photoshop (get what you pay for). Everything I've ever made (2D wise) has been made using PSP; I started out in version 9 (it's up to version 12, which has a nice look). I do plan on buying Photoshop one of these days; when I can plop down the $500-600.

PSP is a great tool, but I think I may as well join the rest of the drones and get PS.

I think is good work to build building "models".

I'd like to see some more screenshots of the MOTM. I'm wondering if Matt would like to run some sort of mini (as in very small with no real prize) comp at FPS-Files? We could have members submit their screens using the MOTM and the HOTM; then the one voted for the most (by the guests and members) would have a place on the site, till the following month's winner replaced them.

How does that sound?

Hmm interesting idea, I'm unsure how popular this little competition your speaking about will be but we can give it a shot if you like.

Thanks Styloo.

@Matt; I'm not sure how popular it would be either, given the lack of a response here. I guess we could try it once for the next competition (or set up a small one using October's model of the month to test it); otherwise we'll just forget about it.

It would be nice to see how it's being used, but that's the way it goes I guess.

Just wanted to bump this one last time before the release of November's Model.

Since Nov's model is SciFi, I had attmepted to do something with shaders, but I just can't seem to figure it out at the moment; so I altered the model a bit to omit certain parts that would've "glowed".

thanks a lot for this, it looks great. hooray for model of the month.
EDIT
this is a great model but when i tried to select in the the entity picker bit the thumbnail for it (the hut) had moved to a different entity and so all the other thumbnails moved along 1. probably becaus i have a thing that has no thumbnail pic but how do i either get the hut pic to the hut or make a pic for the entity without1?

Not sure; never heard of that before. Did you try exiting out of FPSC and starting it back up, with a new map?

it happened ahain when i exited. what i said wasn't quite right (sorry) what actually happened was the thumbnail for another model was all the pics after the gallows moved up 1 and the entity that was last was left without a thumbnail. the picture just after the gallows (of a gift) has disappeared.
sorry if this is unclear, see the pic.

It's a strange thing; but I've had it happen to me before. I don't remember what I did to fix it, or if it just went away. What version of FPSC are you using?

You more than likely haven't placed the texture in the proper place.

Here's a few renders and a screenshot of what I have so far:

The 2 clamps on the back are for "input and output" cables (sold separately).

looks great so far Keith, i was about to comment on the input output thing, good choice of colours.

good thinking with the edges coming outwards to keep balance. looking forward to seeing the finished thing.

also great to see you doing to model of the month thing again

Thanks Jon; I've worked on my worn metal edging doing this one (the power core access lid). I'm hoping to have this one wrapped up real soon, and off to Matt for processing.
