Hi all,

I created a small tutorial on how to create over saturated textures to use in FPSC, achieving that Silent Hill look I know we all love. It's fairly simple, please go to my site and download there the file!

then go to "Free Tutorials and Media" .

Hope you guys like it.

Sure. BTW, take a look at my newest texture editing, went to my texture database and edited a few. They're royalty free, in case you'd wonder.
I've called it the "Hilliesque Texture Editing"

Another one.

I've decided to make a new game and drop my other project "Aurora" because of the engine limitations. So I've decided to make an indoor game and let my outdoor project to FPSX and the future.

BTW, this segment is complete. In the screen I use too the simple but effective prison segment, found here in the forum.

A new completed segment. It's the same floor, but with a flower wallpaper.
The second one is the third segment. A very bloody metal one!

Off course, they're fully lit so that you guys can see the textures well.

Thanks.
I'm making segments to make a game, not planning on a release.

Alimpo83

Really good tutorial and surprising how good the textures come out from what looks to be a relatively straight forward process.

If you'd said these textures took you ages of using a bunch of different techniques I would have believed you.

Thanks for sharing this!

BioShock is Art Deco, this is Art Nouveau (It's the type of art that preceded Art Deco). But yes, It has become an influence.
Another image, with some Art Nouveau wall decorations I've made.

A new screen, showing some architecture retexturing and decors I'm doing.
I'm about to begin a new thread, with the game that these screens report to.

You should really get PowerPoint if you are going to get only the one. Wierd as it sounds I do loads of texturing in PowerPoint. It makes Gradient filling and making complex shapes easy, then I do some dodging and burning in GIMP and voila! done.
