Great deal, amazing piece of equipment this is. Now, I can fiiinally buy all those programs I've wanted.

I highly recommend you get one of these.

Sorry . I didn't think it would do any harm, but I have been wrong many times before . Thanks CR.

I need an opinion though- what would be the smartest thing to get right now? I'm into composing music rather much now. I play the guitar daily and I'm looking into getting a microphone for recording.

The LCD would be for just... coolness . And plus this monitor I have now is very old, and large, and makes a high pitched sounds when I don't want it to.

So whats smarter to get? The LCD, or the microphone?

Also, note to CR;
I e-mailed a mod earlier about changing my forum name to 'Veintitrés'. My name hasn't been changed. Do you have the mod power to change my name? If you can do that, I will be very glad. If you can include the line above the 'e', I'll be even glader
Thanks CR

Pretty awesome. Mine's 300 gb, but for some reason it likes unplugging itself at random times, usually when I'm transferring video, etc.

I'd choose the microphone first.

no harm on the comment, just thought it better to not have it there based on its topic and the AUP

LCD

Your name change is not accepted, for two reasons
1)you cant have the e with the '
2)with the e set to normal, the name is too long (requires a space)

please advise on the name

Name-changing is disabled...

Edit: Thanks, CR! (if it was you who changed it)

I am assuming the HD is 7800 rpm if you are dropping live recordings (or will be) to it, anything slower can cause lag in your recording.

A good mic is a sound investment, but if your monitor is having problems and annoying you I think I would replace that first. I do suggest you get the best mic you can for your budget, the Shure line (sm57 or 58 depending) is not to expensive around $100-$200 and pretty good, if however you can afford one ribbon mics have come down in price and pick up great sound.

Thanks Hobgoblin

I think I'll buy the LCD first, as you are correct; it is annoying me to hell .

It also gives me time to get better at the guitar. I'm not that bad right now, but there's so much for me to learn.

@CR,
Too long? Veintitres... that's 10 characters! Your name is 13.

I guess the rule for only 9 characters was made after your picked your name...

If so, I'll have to do some thinking on what I want my name to be. Thanks

Nice job Jess, I'm surprised I didn't catch that pun earlier.

Hmm... anyone know a place for a great deal on an LCD widescreen?

If you're in the US, I got a great deal at newegg.com on a 37in, retailed for 150 more in the stores, (that's after shipping and before the 60 dollar rebate!), and they delivered to my door.

You can also get some good deals at amazon as well sometimes, and if you order it directly from amazon, and not a 3rd party, they'll bring it inside and unpack it for you.

I used to get hit by the space in my name error when I had JessTicular. To get around it, I simply added a space at the end after the name

Unfortunatly, you're still not allowed to have the accented e

Aha! Thanks Jess

Any chance 'Veintitres' (with the space at the end) can be attempted by either one of your modly mods?

Thanks a billion Jess

Tigerdirect.com has one nice 19" widescreen LCD for about $140. I'm looking for the cheapest possible, but a reliable website and company to order from.
